BOYS BASKETBALL: Pottsville Rallies Past Blue Mountain in Rivalry Matchup

The Pottsville Crimson Tide secured a hard-fought 53-46 victory over the Blue Mountain Eagles in an exciting boys' basketball showdown at Martz Hall on Thursday evening.

The Eagles, looking to bounce back from a season-opening loss to Southern Lehigh, came out strong in the first quarter, building a 13-9 lead. By halftime, they managed to hold a slim 28-24 advantage.

Pottsville, however, found its rhythm in the second half, showing off a relentless offensive push. The Crimson Tide surged ahead in the third quarter, outscoring Blue Mountain 17-6 to take a commanding 41-34 lead heading into the final period.

Despite a determined comeback attempt by the Eagles, Pottsville held firm, sealing their second consecutive win of the season.

Pottsville (2-0) will aim to continue their winning streak on Monday, December 9th, as they travel to face the Tamaqua Blue Raiders. Meanwhile, Blue Mountain (0-2) will look to secure their first victory of the season when they visit Minersville on Monday as well.
