Hegins Man Arrested for Multiple Protection from Abuse Order Violations


A Hegins man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for allegedly violating a Protection from Abuse order multiple times.

According to Frackville Police, on November 30, 2024, at approximately 5:30pm, they were contacted by a female stating there she had an active Protection From Abuse Order against her ex-partner, Sean Blum, 28, of Hegins, formerly of Frackville. 

Blum had been attempting to contact the victim via a third party by way of text messages. Blum had also previously attempted to contact the victim himself. 

Copies of the message were turned over to Police. Ptlm. Bryce Dragna completed a criminal complaint, requesting a warrant of arrest for Blum on the charge of Arrest for Violation of Order. 

This was Blum’s third violation of the Protection Order in 7 days. 

On December 11, Blum was taken into custody with the assistance of the Schuylkill County Sheriff’s Office. 

A preliminary arraignment was held before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and bail was set at $50,000 cash. Blum was committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post bail.
