A man is facing charges for stealing money from an older person in St. Clair.
According to St. Clair Police, on November 5th, 2024, they were contacted by an individual that stated that his care-dependent father-in-law had unauthorized purchases on his accounts.
An investigation found that Matthew Allen Uroskie, 34, of Brockton, took photos of the victim's financial information then used the accounts to make purchases for himself and pay his own utility bills.
Uroskie was at the victim's residence while his wife was the caregiver for the victim.
A total of $633 was found to have been stolen through the purchases.
Uroskie is facing charges of access device fraud, identity theft, financial exploitation of an older adult, and theft by deception.
