Mining officials were at the scene of a mine subsidence in Mahanoy Township on Monday morning.
The subsidence occurred in the early morning hours of Monday on the property at 267 Park Place Road in Mahanoy Township.
The incident swallowed an in-ground swimming pool that was just behind the home on the property. Sources tell Skook News the hole is approximately 20 feet wide.
Emergency personnel responded overnight, and State Officials arrived around 9:30am to investigate.
The family was at home when the subsidence occurred, and no injuries were reported.
