O’Connor Law Brings Holiday Cheer to Two Families in Need

As the holiday season unfolds, O’Connor Law continued a tradition of spreading joy through “Project O’Cheer.”

This year, the firm sponsored two families from North Schuylkill and Mount Carmel Area School Districts, fulfilling their Christmas wish lists and helping make their holidays bright.

Since its inception in 2018, the initiative has evolved into a tradition at O’Connor Law.

Initially part of a broader effort, “Project Cheer,” in collaboration with the Frackville Police Department, the firm took the reins independently last year, rebranding it as “Project O’Cheer.” This year the firm expanded its support to two families.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, the families submitted their holiday wish lists.

O’Connor Law’s staff came together, pooling their efforts to shop for, wrap, and deliver the gifts. For the families, the impact was deeply felt.

“The holiday season is filled with joy, but it can also bring immense pressure for struggling families to make the day special,” shared one recipient. “This generosity has taken a weight off our shoulders and brought us so much relief.”

O’Connor Law’s attorneys and staff described their involvement as equally fulfilling. Volunteers eagerly embraced the holiday spirit, taking on roles as personal shoppers, gift wrappers, and delivery elves. The joy of giving has become a cornerstone of the firm’s holiday traditions, with staff expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to make a difference.

“This is such a special part of our Christmas every year,” a spokesperson for the firm said. “We’re already looking forward to next year and hope to continue spreading cheer to even more families."
