Ruth Ann Artz, age 82, of Reston VA, formerly of Hegins passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at Hunters Woods at Trails End, Reston VA.She was born on Monday, March 2, 1942, in Danville, a daughter of the late Harry D Falck and the late Grace S (Herb) Falck.
Ruth Ann was a 1959 graduate of the former Mahanoy Joint High School and a 1962 graduate of the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a registered nurse at the former Tri-Valley Medical Building, Valley View, and had retired as an occupational health nurse for Tyco Electronics, Lickdale.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.
Ruth Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always a devoted caregiver and baker.
Her husband, Franklin "Doc" R Artz, passed away in 2014. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Deiter, two brothers Charles D Falck and Glenn H Falck, and an infant brother, Maynard F Falck.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheri (John) Bobko of Herndon, VA; two sons, Eric (Katie) Artz of Medina, WA, and Garrett C (Evelyn) Artz of Elizabethton, TN; six grandchildren, Madelyn, Chloe, Sophie, Luke, Nathan, and Grace; a brother, Larry L Falck of Muncy; a sister, Jean M Runkle of Elimsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 am, with Rev Lee Defenderfer and Rev Carl Shankweiler officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church.
Burial will be in Fountain Community Cemetery, Fountain.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 153, Valley View, PA 17983.

Mark C. Henning, 57, of Shamokin, passed away Thursday, December 12th, at home.
Mark was born in Rockaway Beach, NY on January 12, 1967, a son of Richard G. & Janice A. (Francis) Henning, of Schuylkill Haven.
He was the husband of Jennifer L. (Weller) Henning, of Bloomsburg.
Mark was a graduate of Warwick High School, New York.
He worked as a Corrections Officer, and was of the Catholic faith.
Honored to have fought for his country, Mark was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, having served in combat while deployed to Iraq.
Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loyal friend who was always willing to lend a hand and his presence alone could light up any room.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mark is also survived by a sister, Christine Melder-Henning, of Schuylkill Haven, and a brother, Richard, husband of Rosalie Henning, of Texas. He was also the loving uncle to nephews, Michael and Alex; niece, Lauren; & great niece and nephew, Zoey and Lucas.
Private services will be held at the family's convenience.

Francis J. Chaklos, 93, of Frackville passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14th at Geisinger/St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg.
Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary (Hocik) Chaklos. Francis was a clerical worker for Reading Railroad and Conrail until his retirement.
Francis was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville. He played the accordion and enjoyed listening and dancing to the polkas. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering on the Flyers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Post) Chaklos; his two brothers: John and Edward Chaklos; his grandson, Cody Chaklos; his son-in-law, Michael Yaneck.
Francis is survived by his four sons: Edward Chaklos and his wife Jeanette, New Jersey; Michael Chaklos, Frackville; Richard Chaklos, Frackville; David Chaklos and his wife Maryann, Frackville; his daughter, Diane Yaneck, St. Clair; his brother, Joseph Chaklos, St. Clair; his sister, Ann Marie Derescavage, Mill Creek Manor; his 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 20th at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph the Worker Church located at 49 N. Line St., Frackville with Fr. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends are invited to his viewing at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville on Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, St. Clair.
Memorial contributions can be made, in Francis’s name, to St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 7 S. Broad Mountain Ave. Frackville, PA 17931.

Born in Ashland on September 6, 1932 he was the son of Anna (Karabinas) and John Demko.
Stephen was husband of Shirley H. (Welker) Demko for over 72 years.
He was of the Protestant faith and was a member of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ in Ashland.
Stephen graduated from Ashland High School in 1951. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, Stephen worked for the Ford Motor Company as a Tool & Die Maker for over 45 years prior to retiring.
In his free time Stephen enjoyed tinkering with mechanical things and doing yard work.
He was preceded in death by his 7 brothers and 8 sisters.
Stephen is survived by; wife Shirley H. Demko, Ashland; daughter Barbara Tucker (Demetrius), Philadelphia; son Stephen D. Demko Jr. (Joanne), Ashland; son William Demko, Chalfont; 5 grandsons Shawn, Steve, Craig, Joshua & Alex; 7 great grandchildren Charley, Chase, Blake, Aubrey, Maddox, Gavin & Avery; nieces & nephews.

Theresa (Tambasco) Campanicki
Her footsteps can never be filled, nor her love ever forgotten.
Theresa (Tambasco) Campanicki, Our beautiful Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend to many has left this earth to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 15th, 2024.
Theresa was born in Shenandoah in 1929 as the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Pancerella) Tambasco. She was a loving and devoted mother to her children, John and wife Gerry Lynn of Ringtown, Marisa and husband Joseph Salm of Seltzer and Thomas and wife Lori of Ringtown. In addition, her grandchildren, Ashley and Michael Lovett of Coopersburg, Thomas Campanicki of Williamsport and Gianna Campanicki of Telford, Great Grandchildren Nora Theresa and Olivia Marisa of Coopersburg.
Her Husband John preceded her in death in 1999 as well as her son Anthony in 2021.
Her surviving siblings are brother, Martino Tambasco; sisters, Jean Zawadski, Julia McLaughlin and Anna Marie O'Haren.
The family has requested that everyone honor their privacy during this difficult time. All services will be held privately at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home in Ringtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 82 North Center Street, Ringtown, PA 17967 or Ringtown Area Library, 132 West Main Street, Ringtown, PA 17967.

Diane S. Tobias, age 83, of Port Carbon passed away Friday, December 13th, 2024 at Rosewood Rehab and Nursing Center in Schuylkill Haven.
Born in Pottsville, PA on January 2, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John and Emily (Tiley) Stiles.
Diane worked as a secretary and transporter for the Physical Therapy Department at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville. She loved being outdoors and working around the house and yard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jay D. Tobias Sr. and a sister Patricia "Patsy" Wolff.
Diane is survived by daughter Cheryl Riotto and her husband James; son Jay D. Tobias Jr and his wife Dee.; four grandchildren: Samantha Lee Chattin and her husband Todd, Tiffany Diane Ortiz and her husband Alex, Daniel Riotto, and Kevin Riotto and his wife Cheyann; four great-grandchildren: Knox, Matilda, Mack,a nd Reagan; and a brother John Stiles.
Services and interment will be held are private.

Charles Douglas Snowell, III, age 54, of Pottsville, PA passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 13th, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown.
Born in Pottsville, PA on January 16, 1970, he was the son of the late Charles Douglas Snowell Jr. and Beverly (Burch) Snowell, who survives him in Pottsville.
Doug worked as a delivery driver for Domino's Pizza in Pottsville and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, and Michigan Wolverines fan. Doug was well kown by many people. He had the biggest heart. Everyone who knew Doug, loved him. He never had an enemy. Loved to sing and dance to the 80's music with those who surrounded him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Charles Douglas Snowell Sr. and his maternal grandparents John and Ann Burch.
In addition to his mother, Doug is survived by daughter Bryanna Snowell; son Bryce Snowell; grandson Cole Daubert; brother Rodney Snowell; sister Jocelyn Wilson; paternal grandmother Elizabeth Snowell; wife of 35 years Beth Snowell; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, Port Carbon at 6PM on Friday, December 20th, with Pastor Jeffrey Snowell officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday from 4-6PM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be private.
