Iris B. Weller, 83, of Orwigsburg, passed away Sunday, December 1st, at home.Born in Ringtown on April 10, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Darvin & Winifred (Reigle) Houser.
She was the widow of Victor Francis Weller, Jr.
Iris is also preceded in death by her brothers, William, & Furn Fuhrman, & great-granddaughter, Kajia.
She was a 1958 graduate of Blue Mountain High School.
She worked as a machine operator for local textile factories.
Iris was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Cressona Chapter, and was a charter member of the Friedensburg Fire Company Auxiliary.
Iris is survived by two sons: David, husband of Angela Weller, of Orwigsburg; & Mark, husband of Lori Weller, of Minersville; grandchildren: Rebecca, Heather, Markea, Victor, & Marica, great-grandchildren: Leah, McKinley, Azuri, Kaden, Waylon, & Akira, and her sister, Patsy Lins, of Schuylkill Haven.
A Funeral Service will be held at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona at 10:30 AM on Thursday. A Viewing will be held from 9:30-10:15 AM. Eastern Star service will be conducted at 10:15 AM. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annvillle.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late William and Constance (Swingle) Horwath. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Govern and a sister, Connie Horwath.
Theresa enjoyed visiting flower gardens and listening to oldies music.
She is survived by her son, John J. Rogers Jr., Frackville; her brother, William Horwath; her sister, Alberta Serrano; her ex-husband and longtime friend, John J. Rogers Sr.; several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Patrick McAndrew, 72, of West Penn Township, died on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in Franklin Township. He was the husband of Jean Marie (Matejcek) McAndrew with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage this past Monday, November 25, 2024.
Born in Allentown, Patrick was a son of the late Leo and Mona (Krause) McAndrew. A 1970 graduate of Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Patrick was an interplant truck driver for Mack Trucks. He enjoyed a reputation for being a great mechanic who was always working on cars and rebuilding engines.
Patrick is survived by two daughters, Marie McAndrew and her husband Evan Mitos of Nazareth and Jennifer Mellon and her husband John of Muncy; one brother, Michael McAndrew and his wife Ann Lovelace of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Jacqueline Herstich, and her husband Robert of Bethlehem; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Kelly Whitton in 2018. Per Patrick’s wishes, his body is being donated for research through the Anatomy Gifts Registry.
No services are scheduled.
Memorial donations in Patrick’s memory may be made to Memorials Processing, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

William M. Rose, Sr., 74, of Woodland Acres, Norwegian twp. passed away Friday, November 29th, at his home.
He was born in Pottsville, Pa. on September 6, 1950, a son of the late Gladys (Barton) and Frank Rose.
He was the husband of Jacqueline F. (Parry) Rose of whom he married to for 54 years.
He was employed by the Swatara Coal Company, Pottsville Area School District, and the State of Pennsylvania Wernersville State Hospital of where he retired from. He was also a business owner of J & B Market & Deli and R. & R. Quick Mart. He was a basketball coach in the C.Y.O. League for Saint Francis of Assisi. He was an avid boxing fan and enjoyed hunting. What he enjoyed and loved the most was spending time with his two grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew "Butch" Rose, Frank "Fritzie" Rose, sisters, Barbara and Gayle Rose. In-laws Robert and Carole Parry.
Bill is survived by his wife Jacqueline, three sons, Robert J.,husband of Michelle Rose, William M. Jr, husband of Kacey Rose, and Jeffrey S. Rose.
Bill is also survived by two sisters, Rosemarie Kuehn and Sandra Spirko, two brothers, James Rose, and Robert Rose.
He is also survived by the loves of his life, grandchildren Emily & Jaxson Rose.
All are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 7th at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. in Minersville. A Religious Service will follow at 11:00 at the funeral home.
