Rosemary Shirvinski, 78, of Frackville, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 7th, at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, Allentown. Born in Pottsville on January 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Alberta (Harner) and Harry Elliott. Rosemary was a devoted member of Saint John XXIII Tamaqua and a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, class of 1964. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and landscaping her home with her husband. She took much pride in her home both inside and out. For many years she took care of the flower gardens and landscaping at St. Richards Church Barnesville, as well as creating the flower arrangements for the alter. She enjoyed the beach and being out in the sun. She was known for her Christmas cookies.She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Shirvinski Sr. Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Amy Danisavich of Schuylkill Haven, and her two sons, Joseph Shirvinski Jr., husband of Wendy Shirvinski, of Mechanicsburg, and Jonathan Shirvinski, husband of Lisa Shirvinski, of Hometown. She is also survived by her sister, Christine Angst of Pottsville, ten grandchildren: Maxwell, Abigail, Joseph, Corey, Samantha, Nathan, Molly, Sophia, Madylin, and Gabriel, and one great-grandchild, Tailynn, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Stauffenberger.
A religious service will be held at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA, at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 11th, with Deacon Edward Girard officiating. Friends and family may call on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park, Tamaqua, PA.

Born in Coaldale October 23, 1957, he was the fourth child of William J. and Joan W. (Love) Boner who preceded him in death; along with two brothers Kevin in 1959 and William K. in 2015, with whom he shared their birthdate.
He was a 1975 graduate of Panther Valley High School and last worked at Nestle in Hamburg.
He is survived by a son Jared Boner of Shenandoah, a daughter Samantha Boner and her fiancé Stephen Thomas of Kulpmont, two brothers Keith P. Boner and wife Lisa of Tamaqua, Brian T. Boner and wife Maria of Nesquehoning, a sister Audrey Milot wife of the late Thomas of Brockton and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy's passion was riding his motorcycle and side by side with his son Jared and brother Keith and friends. He loved to spend his weekends with his family at his camper reminiscing around the campfire and the companionship of Jared's dog Derks. He was a member of the West End Rod and Gun Club, and the American Legion of Coaldale..
His cheerful, infectious smile and "What's up?" greeting is going to be gravely missed by all who loved and knew him.

Edward W. Hunter, 86, of Tower City, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his home.
Born in Reinerton, on Tuesday, September 20, 1938, a son of the late George and Emma Bendigo Hunter.
Ed was a United States Marine veteran, serving in the Vietnam Era. He spent a total of 8 years with the Marine Corp. Following his time with marines, he was employed with the United States Army Reserve for over 20 years, serving at Fort Indiantown Gap. Ed was last employed as a die repairman with Tyco.
He was a member of Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel, Tower City.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp along the Juniata River. Above all else his family, especially his grandsons and great grandchildren, were his pride and joy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marlin Hunter; sisters, Janice Griffiths, Janet Hunter, and Mae Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia Mione Hunter; a daughter, Deborah Null and her husband Kevin; a son, Ricky Hunter; two grandsons, Kevin Null and his wife Nicole, and Adam Null and his wife Jennifer; four great grandchildren, Isabella, Hannah, Kevin, and Isla; a sister, Donna Adams; brothers, George, William, and Ray Hunter.
A funeral procession will leave the Dimon Funeral Home on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:15 PM to the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ed's name can be made to Sts Peter and Paul Chapel, c/o Most Blessed Trinity, 113 Cherry St, Tremont, PA 17981.

August “Bill” Savage, 76, of Lansford, died on Friday, December 6, 2024, at his residence. He was the 21-year companion of Randy Moyer with whom he resided.
Born in Coaldale, Bill was a son of the late Frank W. and Anna (Potosky) Savage. A 1966 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, he served honorably in the United States Air Force during both the Vietnam era and the Persian Gulf War. Bill worked as a tax auditor at the Schuylkill County Courthouse for many years and, later, as the Director of Schuylkill County Veteran Affairs. Later still, he worked at Fred Johnson Paint & Wallpaper in Lansford from which he retired. Bill was of the Catholic faith and was involved with many of the church activities of the former Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Tamaqua.
He was a past president of the Holy Name Society, a member of the church choir, a member of the Tamaqua American Legion C.H. Berry Post #173, the Knights of Lithuania, the Knights of Columbus, a former member of Tamaqua Borough Council (1992-1998), and a past president, past secretary, and past treasurer of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, Local #1512.
He is survived by his companion, Randy; two brothers, Frank Savage of Lansford and Ray Boyer of Hometown; one sister, Joann Protivnak of Coatesville, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Wehr and Pamela O’Brein.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 12, at Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. Call Thursday from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
Interment with military honors will be at 1 PM on Monday, December 16 in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Memorial donations may be made to either the Lehigh Valley Hospice or to Lehigh Valley Fleming Neuroscience Institute ALS Center. Contributions for either may be sent in Bill’s name, along with the choice of charity, to Lehigh Valley Health Network, Office of Philanthropy, P.O. Box 1883 Allentown, PA 18105.
Arrangements are being handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua.
