The victim in a fatal crash near Ringtown on Monday has been identified.
The crash occurred just before 1:00pm, Monday, December 2nd, 2024 in the area of 144 Hill Field Road in Union Township and involved a vehicle into a tree with entrapment.
A Class 5 victim was confirmed on arrival and the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office was requested to the scene.
According to Schuylkill County Coroner David Moylan III, Heather Weller, 36, of Minersville was the driver and was pronounced at the scene by a deputy coroner from his office.
Coroner Moylan said a virtual autopsy/CT scan was completed at his facility in New Philadelphia. A ruling on Weller's cause of death will be released pending toxicology results.
Coroner Moylan says the crash is being investigated by Union Township Police.
