Yuengling, America's oldest brewery, has announced its expansion into the Midwest, bringing its portfolio of beers to Illinois starting early 2025.
This move follows the brewery's successful introduction into Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma in 2023.
Illinois beer enthusiasts will soon enjoy Yuengling's iconic offerings, including Traditional Lager, Light Lager, Golden Pilsner, Black and Tan, and FLIGHT, the brewery's acclaimed light beer. The initial rollout will begin with draft beer availability at the end of January, followed by packaged products appearing in restaurants, bars, and stores across the state in subsequent weeks.
“For years, we have seen an overwhelming desire for our portfolio from our most loyal fans in Illinois who have been eagerly awaiting the brand’s arrival,” said Wendy Yuengling, Chief Administrative Officer and a sixth-generation family member at D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. “We are incredibly proud to announce our expansion into a great beer market like Illinois. As the oldest brewery in America, we remain committed to delivering high-quality beer experiences across the entire state.”
The expansion marks a strategic push into the Midwest, reflecting Yuengling's growing influence beyond its traditional East Coast stronghold. Colin Callahan, General Manager of The Yuengling Company, highlighted the success of recent Midwest launches: “With our newest expansions into Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma, we knew there was more work to be done in the region. We look forward to bringing Illinois residents the rich tradition and quality that Yuengling is known for.”
Illinois beer fans can expect more information on distribution details, special events, and community activations in the coming months.
