The new year began with joy at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) Schuylkill as the Family Birth and Newborn Center in Pottsville welcomed its first baby of 2025.
Emily Torres Ramos arrived at 4:00 a.m. on January 1, weighing 5 pounds, 13 ounces, and measuring 19.5 inches long.
Proud parents Winnifer Ramos de La Cruz and Elvis Torres of Ashland celebrated the birth of their newest family member alongside Emily’s older sisters, ages 7 and 4. The family expressed gratitude to the dedicated staff at the Family Birth and Newborn Center for their exceptional care and attention.
To commemorate the special occasion, LVH Schuylkill presented the family with a gift basket, a case of diapers, and tokens for Emily’s big sisters. Photos captured the proud parents with Emily, as well as the whole family together, marking a memorable start to the new year.
