Two vehicle sustained heavy damage in a crash early Thursday morning in Frackville.
According to Frackville Police, the crash occurred on Thursday, January 23, 2025, around 1:00am in the 400 Block of South Lehigh Ave for a motor vehicle accident with no injuries.
Investigation revealed that Nicholas Shustack, 25, of Shenandoah had been traveling east on E. Laurel St and came to the intersection with S. Lehigh Ave.
After turning left from E. Laurel St. to travel south on S. Lehigh Ave., Shustack lost control of his Ford F-150 pick-up truck, crossed center of the roadway and struck a Chevrolet Colorado pick-up truck, which was traveling north on S. Lehigh Ave. and operated by Amy Stoneheart, 44 of Dalmatia. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
Investigation also revealed that Shustack was operating his vehicle with tires that had little or no tread on them. As a result, Shustack will be charged by Ptlm Dan Bound with Careless Driving and related inspection violations.
