Pottsville is set to turn green with the Leo F. Haley St. Patrick's Day Parade, which will take place on Saturday, March 15th, beginning at noon.
The city invites residents and visitors to don their green and enjoy a lively celebration of Irish culture and community spirit.
The parade will follow the usual route through Pottsville, starting at Market Street and 12th Street. Participants will make their way down to 2nd Street and then turn onto Mahantongo Street. From there, the procession will head to Centre Street before continuing onto Laurel Boulevard and concluding at the Humane/Phoenix Fire Company on 3rd Street.
Businesses, organizations, and families are invited to join in the celebration by entering a float. There is no fee to participate. Those interested in being part of the parade can email stpatsparade@yahoo.com for more information or to register their entry.
This year's event will be the only St. Patrick's Day Parade held in Schuylkill County with the announcement of the Girardville parade being cancelled.
