Schuylkill County Native Opens 2025 Pennsylvania Farm Show with National Anthem Performance

The 2025 Pennsylvania Farm Show kicked off on Saturday morning with a moment of Schuylkill County pride as nine-year-old Cadence Kline, a Barnesville native, sang the National Anthem.

Kline earned this opportunity by winning the "Oh, Say Can You Sing?" contest.

Kline was introduced by State Representative Jamie Barton.

Her victory marks the fourth consecutive year that a talented young singer from Schuylkill County has claimed the top spot in this statewide contest. In 2024, the honor went to thirteen-year-old Thea Sten of Schuylkill Haven. The 2023 Farm Show saw six-year-old Mia Bixler, also from Schuylkill Haven, capture hearts as the youngest winner in contest history. In 2022, Kalli Smith from Gordon earned the distinction with her standout performance.

Adding to Schuylkill County's strong representation at the 2025 Farm Show, Alexandra "Ally" Bet, another Barnesville native, will showcase her vocal talent during the Junior Livestock Sale. Bet is scheduled to perform on Tuesday, January 7, at 10 a.m.

The annual Pennsylvania Farm Show is the largest indoor agricultural event in the United States, drawing thousands of visitors and participants from across the state.
