Louis “Poppy” P. Fetterolf
, 76, of Lavelle passed away Monday afternoon January 20, 2025 at his residence.

Born in Ashland on October 9, 1948 he was the son of the late Mary (Ossman) and Louis A. Fetterolf.

Lou graduated from Ashland Area High School in 1966.

He was of the Christian faith.

For over 50 years he was the husband of Debra L. (Hubler) Fetterolf they were married August 24, 1974.

Lou served in the Army during Vietnam. He was a Bronze Star recipient.

He most recently worked for Arcos in Atlas. Lou enjoyed doing yard work, working in the garage, making bird feeders, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Robin Wehry and brother-in-law Melvin Krise.

Lou is survived by; wife Debra L. Fetterolf, Lavelle; daughter Angela M. Fetterolf (Scottie DeFilippo), Lavelle; brother Randy Fetterolf (Deb), Ashland; brother David Fetterolf (Anna), Ashland; sister Deb Berner (Leroy), Ashland; sister Susan Herb (Daniel), Lavelle, sister Janet Krise, Lavelle; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday January 27, 2025 at Church of the Nazarene, 2879 Fairgrounds Rd, Lavelle, PA 17943. A viewing for family and friends will be held in church prior to the service from 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon. Burial with full military honors will follow services at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

Ralph “Jake” H. Clark
, 71, of Phineyville (Ringtown) passed away Sunday January 19th at his residence.

Born in Hazleton on February 22, 1953 he was the son of the late Clara Edna (Broscious) and Robert “Butch” A. Clark.

Jake graduated from West Hazleton High School in 1971.

Jake was of the Lutheran faith and attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brandonville.

He was last employed as a truck driver for Stroehmann Bakeries in Hazleton. He was also a caretaker for the Girard Manor Cemetery for many years.

Jake loved the outdoors. He was also big Phillies fan.

In addition to his parent’s he was preceded in death by his beloved dog and best friend Bradley.

He is survived by; daughter Tina Clark, Danville; daughter Sherri Clark (John), Womelsdorf; brother Robert “Bobby” Clark Jr. (Linda), Shenandoah; sister Diane Shumway (Robert), Sugar Run; brother George Clark (Cindy), Phineyville; sister Claraann Schultz (Ronnie), Schuylkill Haven; 3 granddaughters Caitlyn, Taylor and Koreena; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services at the Girard Manor Cemetery in Phineyville will be held this spring.

Herbert G. DeWitt, 86, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday, January 20th, at home.

Born in Norristown on October 18, 1938, he was the son of the late Arlene (Wolfe) and Herbert G. DeWitt, Sr.

Herbert was the widower of Ruth M. DeWitt.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Herbert is survived by daughters, Sherry, wife of Jeff Kline, of Cressona;
Debra, wife of Clarence Donton, Jr., of Pottsville; Tammy, wife of Marc Nespeca, of Schuylkill Haven; and sons, Terry DeWitt, of Hometown; and Todd DeWitt, of Pottsville. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Herbert is preceded in death by children: Keith, Barry, and Craig DeWitt; and grandson, Marc Nespeca.

Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

At the family's request, memorial donations may be forwarded to DAV – Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.

Pearl Marie Pominville
, 71, of Allenwood Circle, Schuylkill Haven, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born on November 22, 1953 in N. Manheim Twp., she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Alice Hutton Pominville.

Surviving are a sister, Bernadette and husband Leonard Moyer of Schuylkill Haven; three brothers, Abraham Pominville of Las Vegas, NV, Gary and wife Elaine Pominville of Schuylkill Haven, Warren Pominville of Schuylkill Haven; nieces and nephews.

All Services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Pine Grove Council of Churches for the Weekday Church School c/o Cathy Nagle, 527 Dad Burnhams Road, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 in her memory.

The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc, Pine Grove is in charge of arrangements.
