Kerry “Kim” Grabey, 77, of Frackville, died Tuesday January 21, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.Born in New York, January 11, 1948, She was a daughter of the late Howard and Helen (Terry) Lyndon
She was a Teacher's Aide at IU 29 and as a waitress at the former Mountain City Diner.
She was preceded in death by a son William Church; Brother Kent Lydon
Surviving are her husband John M. Grabey; Daughter Darlene Garnick of Frackville; Grandson Cody Church and his wife Joanna (O’Day) of Frackville; Great Granddaughter Evelyn Iaccubuci; 3 Brothers Russell, Dennis and Randy Lydon; Nieces and Nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday January 28, 2025 from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 49 S. Line Street Frackville, PA 17931 with Rev Giuseppe Esposito officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901. Mark M. Romberger, 85, of Tower City, formerly of Hegins, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at St. Luke's Medical Center, Orwigsburg.
Mark was born on Sunday, July 2, 1939 in Herndon, a son of the late Stanley and Verna Klinger Romberger. He was a graduate of Mahoney Joint High School, class of 1957.
He was a retired truck driver with Koppy's Propane, Williamstown and also worked for Iceland Seafood Corporation where he was a forklift operator.
Mark was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins, the Union County Sportsman Club, and was a former assistant fire chief at the Hegins Fire Company, where he volunteered for over 30 years. He was also a former member of the Valley View Gun Club.
Mark will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman, who had a passion for hunting and fishing. He could often be found watching the Weather Channel.
Mark is survived by his long time companion, Joan Savidge, with whom he resided; a son Michael I. Romberger and his wife Stacey, Harrisburg; two brothers, Lee Romberger and his wife Jenny, Duncannon, and Roy Romberger and his wife Barbara, New York; one sister Barbara Koppenhaver, Hershey; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm from the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin, with Pastor Maureen Duffy-Guy officiating.

Bryan M. Scott, 98, of Tower City, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital - East, Pottsville.
Born in Manchester, England on Friday, June 25, 1926, a son of the late Frank and Beatrice Riley Scott. Bryan served with the British Army.
He was a retired lot manager with Pennsylvania Garage Incorporated. Following retirement, he worked at Walmart in the yard and garden section.
Bryan enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and was an avid reader. He had a special interest for history books. He also loved to listen to a variety of music,especially the bagpipes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Joyce Gill Scott, 2017.
Surviving are his five children, Howard C. Scott and his wife Bonita, Palm Springs, CA, Philip A. Scott and his wife Karen, Merritt Island, FL, David R. Scott and his wife Kathy, Port Orchard, WA, Barry K. Scott and his wife Dawn, Mechanicsburg, and Eric N. Scott and his wife Lisa, Tower City; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.
Bryan will be laid to rest at the convenience of the family in the Methodist Cemetery, Muir.

Ann Marie Starry, 89, of Tamaqua, died on Sunday, January 19, 2025, while residing with her daughter Kelly and family in Illinois. She was the wife of the late Thomas S. Starry to whom she was married for 61 years at the time of his death, April 7th, 2019.
Joseph “Beefo” Brennan, 67, of Gordon, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his residence.
William Kondash Jr., 81, of Tresckow, passed away suddenly Tuesday at Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Brown) Kondash Sr.
Bill was a 1960 graduate of West Hazleton High School and a Vietnam War veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, McAdoo.
Prior to retiring, he was employed at Tunnessen Supply, Hazleton.
Surviving are his son, William J. Kondash, Freeland; daughter, Marissa Ann Lengen and husband Edward, Zion Grove; sister, Mary Ann Kachurak and husband John, Allentown; several nieces and nephews; companion, Mary Yagalla, Tresckow; and many friends and extended family.
His funeral will be held Monday, January 27. The Rev. Gregory Hosler will celebrate the Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial at 11a.m. in St. Michael’s B.C. Church, McAdoo. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the parish cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations or liturgies can be to St. Michael’s B.C. Church, 17 E. Blaine St., McAdoo, PA 18237.

Helen M. Frantz, 88, of St. Clair, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Schuylkill East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. She was born on June 1, 1936, in St. Clair, the daughter of the late William Smith and Margaret (Brennan) Smith.
Helen was a member of the St. Clair Wade United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for 36 years with perfect attendance. She was also a member of the church's Chum-Me class.
She attended St. Clair schools and was employed by the St. Clair School District as a crossing guard for many years.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Frantz, who passed away in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her six siblings: Margaret Fox, Anna Frantz MacNutt, Hannah Wassel, John Smith, Robert Smith, and Betty Sabol. Helen was the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen Bubbenmoyer of Reading; her son, Robert Frantz, husband of Connie, of Strausstown; her grandsons, Brian Mullins, Kevin Mullins, and Jason Frantz; her granddaughter, Kim Frantz Messner; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A religious service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 11 AM at St. Clair Wade United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Murray officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 AM to 11 AM Tuesday morning at the church. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair.

Born in Schuylkill Township, Ann was the daughter of Carl J. and Wilda (Koch) Schoener. A 1953 graduate of Tamaqua High School, Ann was a homemaker and a devoted, selfless mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping trips with her daughter, and doing word searches. She was a member of Tamaqua’s St. John XXIII Catholic Church but regularly attended Mass at St. Mary of the Annunciation in Mundelein, Illinois.
Ann is survived by a son, Thomas C. Starry of Tamaqua; a daughter, Kelly Ann Smith and her husband Jason of Vernon Hills, Illinois; and a grandson, Joel Thomas Smith of Vernon Hills, Illinois.
She was predeceased by her brother, Carl J. Schoener. Services and interment in Sky-View Memorial Park to be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
