David T. Keip
, 87 years of age of Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at home while in the loving care of his granddaughter Heather Kintz and her family.

Born Monday, November 29, 1937 in Brockton, Pennsylvania the son of the late John, and Mary (Sockel) Keip. David was also predeceased by; daughter, Melissa Keip; son, Ray Yocum; grandson, Raymond Yocum Jr.; sisters, Theresa Geison, Margaret Christ, Veronica Bell, Victoria Bell, Bertha Suder, Dorothy Deitrick, Isabelle Zelnick, Marie Benyacker, Martha Kotula; brothers, John, Joseph, Jerome, Paul, Michael, and Vincent Keip.

Surviving are; beloved wife, Josephine (Bair) "Tina" Keip; son, David J. Keip ad his wife Susan; brothers, Frank Keip, Bartholomew Keip; sisters, Ann Wetzel, Cecelia Rusnak; grandchildren, Heather, Jada, Samantha, Courtney, Brett, Emma; and a number of great grandchildren.

David served honorably in the United states Navy during the Korean War, and retired from Packaging Corporation of Trexlertown. After his retirement, David worked at Boyer's in Tamaqua for many years. An avid Philadelphia sports fan, David and Tina enjoyed day trips to the casino.

Irene Zaharick, 95, of Rapp Road, Girardville, passed away, with family by her side, Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg. Born in the village of Colorado, near Girardville, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Felegi. She attended Girardville Schools, and along with her husband, John, owned and operated Zaharick’s Bar, near Ashland, until her retirement. Irene was a member of St. John’s Ukranian Church, Maizeville. Preceding her in death was her husband, John, passing February 7, 2007, daughter, Joan, passing in 1965, sons, Michael, passing in 2016, and Gregory, passing in 2021, grandson, Richard, son in law, Andrew McAloose, daughter in law, Tara Zaharick, daughter in law, Sally Zaharick, daughter in law Irene Zaharack

Daughter: Gail wife of Angelo Gillono, Ohio

Daughter: Mary McAloose, McAdoo

Daughter: Jane wife of Jeff Dornan, Queensland, Australia

Daughter: Janet Nelson, Boston, Mass.

Son: John Zaharick , Ashland

Son: Joseph Zaharick and his wife Irene, Mt. Carmel

Son: Steven Zaharick, West Chester

Son: Martin Zaharick and his wife Joanne, Freemansburg

Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews

Funeral services will be private, and at the convenience of the family.

Lourdes E. Roldan
, 73 of Frackville, PA., passed away on January 3, 2025 at her residence. She was the wife of Mariano Roldan for 51 years. 

Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Cruz M. Rodriguez and the late Iris M. (Cruz) Rodriguez. She had worked and retired for they NYPD as a PAA for many years. 

She is survived in addition to her husband by her two daughters, Lourdes I. wife of John Peska, Long Island, NY, Cristina wife of of Kumar Seeraj, Frackville, PA; one son, Erik husband of Dinita Roldan, Pasadena, TX; 9 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren. 

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at the Mark J Hummel Funeral Home, 48 N Broad Mountain Ave., Frackville. Rev. Jack Murray will officiate. 

Viewings will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. 

Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
