Kevin "Pee Wee' Moyer
, 68, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday, January 8th, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Pottsville on December 11, 1956, he was a son of the late Earl Moyer & Nancy (Sweigert) Brinich.

Married 42 years, he was the husband of Cheryl (Smerlick) Moyer.

Pee Wee loved spending time with his wife, daughter, Taunia Bosler, son-in-law, Tim Bosler, of Gilbertsville, PA and especially his grandchildren, Weston, & Ava, who affectionately called him Pappy.

He could often be found on weekends at “The Jarg” at his daughter and son-in-law’s home.

Pee Wee is a 1974 graduate of Blue Mountain High School.

He had been employed by Lehigh Valley Dairy as a driver. He also served Teamsters Local 429 Union, Reading, as union steward, recording secretary, business agent, trustee and retired as Vice President.

Pee Wee enjoyed advocating for his Union brothers. He helped so many people and touched so many lives, and never sought accolades for his efforts.

He was a life member & trustee for Second Mountain Rod & Gun Club, life member of Rainbow Hose Co. No. 1, a member of North Ward Social Club, and Red Hill Gun Club, and served as trustee of Dan Dewald Recovery Fund for which he organized many fundraisers.

Pee Wee was an avid Eagles, Phillies, & Nascar fan. He was not filtered in his beliefs, but people knew he spoke the truth. He lived life with gusto and had an exceptional sense of humor.

Kevin is also survived by his siblings: Jeff (Daylene) Moyer, Yukon, Oklahoma, Jerry (Linda) Moyer, Cressona, Bob (Anne) Moyer, Pottsville, Mindy (Tom) Nevills, & Lori (Ryan) Johnson, all of Florida, Wendy (Ricky Strausser, Jr.) Strause, Auburn, & Heather (Rich) Rhody, Hegins, and numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Randy Moyer.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Sunday, January 12th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with Sammy Julian offering the eulogy. A Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Geraldine 'Gerry' Moore
, 80, a former resident of Shenandoah, currently of Gordon, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Monday, January 6th, 2025.

Gerry was born in Sheppton on March 2, 1944, a daughter of the late Leo and Margaret (Weikel) Kowalsky. After high school, she worked in the Harrisburg area for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for both Penn Dot and the Pennsylvania State Police. She last worked as a CNA at the Shenandoah Manor Senior Living Community.

Gerry was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish of Shenandoah and a former member of St. Stephen's Church in Shenandoah, where she was very active in many church functions, including being a CCD instructor and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, a son Leonard, a brother Leo Kowalsky and three sisters, Leona Reigel, Mary Teter and Peggy Kowalsky.

Gerry is survived by her daughter, Eileen Moore of Auburn, her two grandchildren, Elizabeth Romoho and Cody Moore, a sister, Beverly Kreiger of Ringtown, and by many nieces and nephews.

A Scripture Service will he held at 11 AM on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at the Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah, with Msgr. Ronald Bocian, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 - 11am prior to the service at the funeral home. Gerry will be laid to rest at a later date during private family services.

Daniel Pistilli, 97, a former resident of Shenandoah, passed away on December 29th, 2024 while a guest at Buffalo Valley Personal Care Home in Lewisburg, PA, where he had resided for the past several years.

In accordance with Daniel's wishes, private services and burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights, were provided y the Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home in Shenandoah.

Jeanette F. Beadle
, 97 of Pottsville, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon at Green Valley Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Pottsville with her family by her side.

She was born May 16, 1927, in Pottsville a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Haslam Accardi.

She was a 1945 graduate of Pottsville High School.

She worked for a short time at the former Pomeroy’s Department Store, Pottsville.

Jeanette was a faithful member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Pottsville, where was one of the original Quilters, Tuesday Women’s Fellowship where she served as past president, and active in the Adult Fellowship. She also spent many years volunteering at the Pottsville Soup Kitchen.

Jeanette spent her time as a seamstress, making cakes for special occasions including weddings, christenings, and of course birthdays for everyone. She loved to work in her garden do puzzles and work on her needlework including, knitting crochet, cross-stitching, and quilting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and loved having everyone for holiday gatherings. She loved going to the beach, playing badminton and loved going to the hairdresser every Friday no matter what.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Cecil A. Beadle, on August 8, 2012; 2 sisters, Katherine “Kitty” Goho and Doris Evans.

Surviving are her 3 children, her daughter and best friend Janet Terefencko; a son, Frank Beadle, both of Pottsville; a son, Geoffery Beadle and his wife Jen Peters, Erie; 7 grandchildren, Edward Terefencko and his wife Jennifer; Marla Terefencko; Daryle Beadle, Frankie Beadle, Alex Beadle and his wife Brandy; Gabriel and Sam Beadle; 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild to who she was a loving NanNan to them all. Nephews Allen and Jerry Sterner, TN.

Jeanette family would like to thank Green Valley for the love and care they provided during her stay.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11AM from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30AM until the time of services. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Jeanette be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 316 W. Market St., Pottsville, PA 17901.

Marcellus (Cellus) Woodson
, son, father, life partner, nephew, uncle, friend, mentor to many, 47 years of age of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at St. Luke's Carbon Campus in Lehighton, Pennsylvania.

Born Friday, June 10, 1977 in York, Pennsylvania. Cellus is survived by; mother, Benita (Oden) Woodson; father, Earnest Woodson; Fiancé, Christine "Chrissy" McCarroll; daughters, Briella G. Woodson and Gianna L. Woodson. Cellus has a large extended family of siblings, in-laws, aunts and uncles, and cousins to support Chrissy and his girls.

He was a graduate of Buckingham High School, and also attended Kutztown University. He was currently serving as a Crisis Interventionist and Staff Mentor for KidsPeace in Schnecksville. Cellus was everything "sneakers" wearing them, collecting them, trading them, he knew the game.

You don't co-mingle with a McCarroll unless you prescribe to being a diehard Notre Dame fan. Cellus drank the kool aid and became an ardent Fightin’ Irish and lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Cellus held the role of father to the highest esteem. He and Chrissy navigated work schedules to provide their girls undivided love, safety, and attention. Let’s not forget all the singing and dancing as well….anything to make his girls smile. His presence will forever live on, yet he will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will be at 11 o'clock A.M. on Wednesday January 15, 2025 from the funeral home. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7:00 P.M., and on the morning of services from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.

Interment will be in Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Memorials in his name can be made in care of the funeral home or to Chrissy where an educational fund will be established for his beloved daughters.

Dennis Schutte
, 92, of Eagle Rock, and formerly of Huntington, CT, passed away Monday morning at Heritage Hill Senior Living Community, Weatherly, PA.

Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Vasilo (Panori) Schutte.

Dennis was a U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

He was a dedicated member of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville, PA.

Prior to retiring, he was employed in the office at AVCO Lycoming, for 32 years.

A world traveler, Dennis enjoyed visiting different countries with his wife, Virginia.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Virginia G. Schutte (October 2024); brother, Thomas Schutte; and sister, Ethel Veshi.

Surviving are his sons, David Schutte, of Norwalk, CT, and Fr. Dennis Schutte and wife Sophia, of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, David, Matthew, Nicholas and Alexander Schutte and their wives; 9 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive.

His Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 13, at 10 a.m. in Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville, PA, with V. Rev. James Jadick officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

A calling hour will be held Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, at www.haoca.org.

The Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo, PA is assisting the family with arrangements.
