Senator Dave McCormick Takes Office

Senator Dave McCormick took the Oath of Office on Friday with Vice President-elect and current Senator JD Vance escorting him through the Senate chamber. His wife, Dina, and their daughters stood by his side, while his parents observed from the Senate gallery. McCormick’s hand rested on his family’s Bible as he pledged to serve the people of Pennsylvania.

“I’d like to thank the people of Pennsylvania for giving me the opportunity to lead,” McCormick said. “There is no higher honor than to serve my friends and neighbors as a United States Senator, and I plan to shake up Washington to deliver results on behalf of every Pennsylvanian.”

McCormick’s committee assignments include key roles on Banking, Energy and Natural Resources, Foreign Relations, Aging, and the Joint Economic Committee. His legislative priorities reflect a focus on securing the border, harnessing Pennsylvania’s energy potential, combating the fentanyl crisis, lowering the cost of living, restoring American strength, and reforming Washington. McCormick emphasized his commitment to working with President Trump to advance a transformative agenda for Pennsylvania and the nation.

Congressman Dan Meuser Begins Fourth Term

Congressman Dan Meuser, representing Pennsylvania’s Ninth Congressional District, also took the Oath of Office, marking the start of his fourth term. In a statement, Meuser expressed gratitude to his constituents and outlined his dedication to advancing policies aligned with President Trump’s America First Agenda.

“I am grateful to the people of Pennsylvania’s Ninth District for once again allowing me to serve as their representative in Washington; it’s a responsibility I do not take lightly,” said Meuser. “In the 119th Congress, I will work tirelessly to advance the agenda that the American people voted for. Together, with President Trump in the White House and unified Republican control in Congress, we will secure our border, grow our economy, promote energy dominance, protect national security, and restore peace through strength.”

Meuser reiterated his commitment to delivering top-tier constituent services and pledged to continue working on commonsense solutions to benefit Pennsylvanians and Americans alike. He also highlighted a partnership with President Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE Team) to root out waste and inefficiencies in the federal bureaucracy.
