A Shenandoah woman was transported to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle last weekend in the borough.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the incident occurred on Saturday, December 28th, 2024, around 3:45pm at the intersection of South Chesnut and West Cherry Streets in Shenandoah.
Troopers say Julann Kowalski, 33, of Shenandoah was stopped at the intersection and attempted to make a left turn in a Chevrolet Trail Blazer onto South Chesnut Street and struck an 81-year-old woman that was walking across the street.
The victim was transported to the hospital via Shenandoah EMS to an area hospital with possible head trauma.
Kowalski will be cited for the crash.
