The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating the dumping of building materials near Mahanoy City.
According to Troopers, on January 6th, 2024, police were called to the area of Vulcan Hill Road and Buck Mountain Road in Mahanoy Township for a report of scattering rubbish.
It was found that over a dozen large black garbage bags containing item like pieces of sheetrock, cardboard, buckets, plywood, and household items were dumped approximately 25 yards north of Vulcan Hill Road in a heavily wooded area.
State Police say that the via involved in the dumping was a dark colored Dodge Pick Up truck.
