Police are actively searching for a 35-year-old Mahanoy City man who fled authorities after a standoff and threats against officers on Thursday morning.
Joshua Osborne, already wanted for felony strangulation charges, is now the subject of a manhunt following an incident in the 1000 block of East Mahanoy Street.
According to police, Osborne was barricaded inside a residence when he made threats to shoot responding officers. As additional law enforcement units were en route to the scene, Osborne managed to escape. He reportedly fled through a second-story rear window, gaining access to a neighboring abandoned home before ultimately evading capture by exiting that property as well.
Police are warning the public not to approach Osborne, as he is considered dangerous and may be armed with unknown weapons.
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding Osborne’s whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
