A Frackville man could face charges following a crash in the borough Tuesday evening.

According to Frackville Police, on February 11, 2025, around 9:50pm, Frackville Police were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident in the 300 block of South Lehigh Avenue.

Upon arrival it was discovered that a black Ram pickup truck, driven by John Grabey, 62, of Frackville, was traveling north on S. Lehigh Ave and was driving too fast for conditions.

Grabey was unable to maintain control of his vehicle and struck the rear of Jeep that was traveling in front of him, operated by Mayra Ivette Carmona Millan, 53, of Shenandoah.

After striking Millan’s vehicle, Grabey then struck a parked vehicle on the side of the roadway.

During investigation, it was determined that Grabey exhibited signs of intoxication and was taken into custody under suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. Grabey was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pottsville for a chemical blood test.

Pending the results of the blood alcohol content test, a criminal complaint will be completed by Ptlm. Bryce Dragna, charging John Grabey with Driving Under the Influence and related traffic offenses.

Assisting with the accident were Frackville EMS, Frackville Fire Dept. and Steve’s Towing.
