A police incident is impacting Route 61 and the Coal Creek Plaza near St. Clair.
Around 1:45pm, the St. Clair Fire Police were requested to the intersection of Route 61 and the entrance to Walmart to close off entry into the plaza as well as northbound Route 61.
Around 2:10pm, Route 61 was closed at Route 61 and Hancock Street
We also received word at that time that Walmart was evacuated.
Multiple state police units and helicopters have been seen along Route 61 and St. Clair from the Gasway gas station to the Coal Creek Plaza.
Local police officers are reportedly outside Walmart.
Upon fire police arriving for traffic control, fire dispatch did advise them to be on the lookout for two suspects, but the description of those suspects wasn’t provided.
Specific details on this incident have not been confirmed but there were reports of a police pursuit prior.
