Interstate 81 southbound is closed in northern Schuylkill County for a tractor trailer crash.
The incident happened around 9:15pm in the area mile marker 135 of the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 between McAdoo and Delano.
The crash involved a tractor trailer hauling pipe that structure a barrier rupturing its saddle tanks and causing a large debris field.
Fire personnel immediately requested that the highway be shutdown on arrival.
As of 9:35pm, the Interstate is closed at mile marker 138 at the McAdoo exit.
