Taylor Ferrari, North Schuylkill


NS senior, Taylor Ferrari, signed letter of intent to continue her academic and softball careers at Wilkes University!

Gavin Mentzer, North Schuylkill


North Schuylkill Kicker/Punter, Gavin Mentzer, on signing a letter of intent to continue his academic and football careers at Indiana University of Pennsylvania!

Brayden Maksimik,  Shenandoah Valley


Brayden Maksimik a pitcher for the Shenandoah Valley High School Baseball Team will continue his education and play baseball for the Lycoming College Warriors. Brayden’s future plans are to pursue a career in Business and Finance. Shown seated in photo is Brayden flanked by his parents Randy and Trisha Maksimik. Aava Shappell, Pine Grove Area


Ava Shappell has signed to continue to academic and athletic pursuits at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Ava will play Division 1 women’s soccer for the Highlanders. Ava plans to major in Environmental Engineering.

Ava earned the MaxPreps state soccer player of the week during the 2023 season. Ava scored 39 goals and added 4 assists during the 2023 season for the Cardinals. For her career, she scored 109 goals and assisted on 34 others during a 3-year high school career.

Viktorya Luckenbach, Pine Grove Area


Viktorya Luckenbach has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Bloomsburg University. Viktorya will play women’s soccer and run track & field for the Huskies. Viktorya plans to major in Exercise Science and earn her nursing degree.

Viktorya is the 2023 PIAA Class AA state champion in the 200. She has also medaled in the 100 and the 4x100 relay. In 2023, she was named to the PA State Soccer Coaches Association All-state team as a midfielder. In girls’ soccer, Viktorya sits in third place in Pine Grove Area history in career points (184), goals (68) and assists (48).
