Stacey M. Peterka, 44, of Schuylkill Haven passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at her home.
Born in Pottstown, she is the daughter of Kenneth and Debra Miller Peterka.
Stacey was a graduate of Spring Ford High School in Royersford. She also attended Empire Beauty School and had an associate’s degree in for McCann School of Business.
Stacey worked for Evans Delivery for over 17 years as a supervisor. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, Stacey is survived by her husband, Justin Massafra of Schuylkill Haven. She is survived by a brother; Jason Peterka. Stacey is also survived by her beloved goddaughter; Vivia Kreiner.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th at 12:00 at Grabowski Funeral Home in Schuylkill Haven. Stacey’s uncle, Father Sylvester Peterka will officiate services. Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of Stacey’s love of animals; donations in her name can be made to the Ruth Steinert SPCA, 18 Wertz Drive, Pine Grove, PA 17963. Ruth Ann Ziolko, a resident of Brandonville, passed away peacefully at home on February 11th, 2024.
Ruth was born on August 5th, 1937 in Shenandoah, a daughter of the late John and Florence (Kline) Sands.
Ruth Ann was retired having last worked as a manager for Alliance Wholesale. She has also been previously employed in the local garment industry. An excellent baker and cook, she loved to listen to country music, and was fond of her many road trips, especially to Branson, Missouri.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband to whom she was married to for 61 years, Joseph Ziolko who passed away in 2023, and by a sister, Florence Krieger, who passed away in 1985.
Ruth Ann loved her family and was proud of and cherished her grand children and great grandchildren.
Ruth Ann is survived by her two daughters, Lorrie, wife of Brian Deffley and Kimberly Jo, wife of Mario Curreli. Four grandchildren, Erin, wife of Michael Plaksa, Kirstyn Kankowski, Connor Deffley and his wife Caitlin and Joseph Kankowski, along with three great grandchildren, Anthony Plaska, Alexander Plaksa and Cael Deffley, a niece, Judi Kline and also her cat, Lucky.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service which will be held on Thursday, February 20th, 2025 at 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville. Visitation with Ruth Ann's family will be from 10-11 AM at the church prior to the service. Ruth Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Brandonville Union Cemetery immediately following the service.
The Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, assisted Ruth Ann's family during their time of need.
Todd J. "Spooker" Null, 61, of Tower City, passed away Friday morning, February 14, 2025, at Carolyn's Hospice Residence, Harrisburg, after recently being diagnosed with cancer.
Todd was born on Thursday, March 28, 1963, in Pottsville, a son of the late Charles Edward and Rubena Reightler Null.
He was a 1981 graduate of Williams Valley High School.
Todd was a self-employed contractor.
He was an active member of the Sons of the Tower City American Legion, where he currently served as Acting Adjutant and was previously a Commander for the Sons. He could often be found at the Legion helping out wherever needed. He proudly carried the American flag at every parade or event the Legion held, and he was an integral part in the flag retirement ceremony. Todd was also a member of the Tower City Loyal Order of the Moose.
He enjoyed shooting pool and darts, belonging to numerous leagues throughout the years. Todd also belonged to the Winter League for cornhole with the Tower City Legion.
He was a fan of baseball and football and could often be found cheering on the Pirates and Steelers.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Brian, and Scott Null.
He is survived by his son, Todd Null, Jr., Millersburg; two grandsons, Brantley and Bryson; five brothers, Allen Miller and his wife Georgie, Dauphin, Harry Miller and his wife Sharon, Harrisburg, Gerald Miller, Harrisburg, Robert Miller and his wife Missy, Florida, and Kevin Null and his wife Deb, Tower City; five sisters, Tina Capiak and her husband Mike, Seltzer, Cindy Snyder and her husband Dwayne, Lykens, Janet Null, California, Wendy Miller and her husband David, Muir, and Linda Raudenbush and her husband Harry, Tower City; three sisters-in-laws, Loretta, Linda and Elaine Null; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A Celebration of Todd's life will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home with Pastor William Romberger officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-3 at the chapel.
On February 1st, the Tower City American Legion held a very successful benefit to support Todd. During this benefit, money was raised to help cover a variety of Todd's expenses. In memory of Todd's life and in honor of the benefit and its mission, donations can be made to the Tower City American Legion (the organization that held the benefit) 2 Clarks Valley Rd, Tower City, PA 17980 or to Compassion in the Valley (an organization that helps with funeral expenses for families in need) 9 N. John R. Brommer, 84, of Brommer Lane, Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at home.
Born on June 23, 1940 in Ravine, he was a son of the late Harry Sr. and Leona Gruver Brommer.
John was a 1958 graduate of Pine Grove High School and a graduate of Windham College with a Bachelors Degree in Education.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
John was a Special Ed Teacher and worked in the Tri Valley School District.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. He was also a proud member of the Tremont and Pine Grove Community Bands.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 50 years, Leanna M. Koch Brommer and a son, Jason A. Brommer.
Surviving are two sons, Alexander Brommer of Pine Grove, Nicolas Brommer of Newport News, VA and his wife Christina Brommer of Smithfield, VA; a daughter-in-law, Ann Brommer of Pine Grove; three grandchildren, Kyle Rhein and Katie Brommer, both of Pine Grove, Penny Kline of New York; two brothers, Harry Brommer Jr. and George Brommer; a sister Donna Schach, all of Pine Grove; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with SALM John Ziegler officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
