MaryAnn Katherine Koch, 65, a resident of Frieden Manor, Schuylkill Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14th, 2025 at St. Lukes-Geisinger Hospital in Orwigsburg.

MaryAnn was born in Pottsville on June 12th, 1959, a daughter of Jospeh Snyder of Friedensburg and the late Clara (Bower) Snyder.

A 1977 graduate of the Pottsville High School, she later went on to work for the Parish Division of the Dana Corporation in Reading, and retired after 22 years of service. She was a member of United Steelworkers of America Local 3733.

A loving daughter, mother, aunt and friend, MaryAnn loved her family and also enjoyed photography and wildlife.

In addition to her husband, Eugene F. Koch, she was preceded in death by her mother Clara Snyder, maternal grandparents Robert J. and Catherine Snyder, and a brother Joseph J. Snyder.

She is survived by her father, Joseph T. Snyder (Sharon); a son, Robert J. Koch (Lisa); a step-daughter, Dana Koch, a nephew, Eric R. Snyder and step brothers John and Jason Snyder, along with an extended family and many friends.

In accordance with MaryAnn's wishes, private funeral services have been provided by the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Pottsville.

Helen Mae McManus, 95, of Urbandale, Iowa formerly of Ashland passed away Sunday morning February 16, 2025 at Calvin Community in Des Moines.

Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc, 901 Centre St, Ashland PA 17921 has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Larry R. Ulsh
, 73, of Williamstown, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 15, 2025 at the Hershey Medical Center.

Larry was born in Lykens, on Tuesday, June 19, 1951, a son of the late Dervin and Anna Pickel Ulsh.

He was a 1969 graduate of Williams Valley High School.

Larry was a skilled cement finisher, having retired from Local Union 592, Philadelphia.

He was a member of the Williamstown American Legion and the Williamstown VFW.

Larry could often be found watching country westerns, John Wayne being one of his favorites. He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Larry was a fan of all sports, especially college football and golf. Above all else, he enjoyed being around his son, daughter-in-law, grandson, and his friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, William and Russell "Skip" Ulsh.

Surviving are his son, Eric Ulsh and his wife Jennifer, Williamstown; a grandson, Noah Ulsh. several nieces and nephews.

Following Larry's wishes there will be no formal services, and he will be laid to rest privately in the Spring in the Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Williamstown American Legion, 123 W Market St, Williamstown, PA 17098 or to the Williamstown VFW, 200 Tunnel St, Williamstown, PA 17098.

Donald J. Stefanisko
, 84, of McAdoo, passed away Saturday evening at the Manor at St. Luke Village, Hazleton.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Kofchock) Stefanisko.

Donald was a devoted and faithful member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo. He was involved in the care and maintenance of the church, the parish activities, and always willing to help and support his church in any way.

Prior to retiring, Donald was first employed in the area garment industry, then Quality Control for JCPenney and lastly for Office Max. He was also a dedicated member of the PA National Guard.

Donald was a proud graduate of Penn State University, a member of the Alumni Association and a loyal fan of Penn State sports. He attended many PSU football games over the years. He was also a member of the McAdoo Fire Co.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his sister, Rita Prekopa and infant siblings, Evelyn and Richard.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Jean A. (Petrole) Stefanisko; son, Mark Stefanisko and wife Tracey, of Swedesboro, NJ; grandchildren, Luke and Taylor Stefansiko; sister, Marian Tyma, of Orlando, FL; and nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Saturday, February 22. The Rev. Barnabas Shayo will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.

A calling hour will be held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Church of All Saints, 35 N. Cleveland St., McAdoo, PA 18237.

The Damiano Funeral Home, McAdoo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
