Albert (Al) Moucheron, Jr., 93, of Mahanoy City, PA
, passed away Wednesday, February 19th, at his residence.

Born on October 16, 1931 in Park Crest. He was the son of the late Helen (Chonko) and Albert Moucheron.

Al was a 1949 graduate of Mahanoy City High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He worked for Bell Telephone/Verizon as a line man and retired as an office manager solving various telephone problems in the Frackville and Mahanoy City areas.

Preceding him in death were his wife Joan (Rajkowski) Moucheron on April 3, 2008 and a sister, Carol Fernandez on July 26, 2024.

Al was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mahanoy City. He was a member of the Mahanoy City Elks Lodge No. 695, and the Mahanoy City American Legion Post 74.

Al was known for his kindness, story-telling and jokes. He was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and the place where he loved to meet his family and friends was at the M&M RedZone. He loved people, dancing and playing his accordion.

Al is survived by a daughter, Cheri, wife of Rick Southcott, of Downingtown; two sons Thomas, husband of Paula; Robert, husband of Cassie; and a sister, Joan Sisak, wife of Julius, all of Mahanoy City.

Pop is also survived by 4 grandchildren Allison, wife of Darren Kline; Eric Moucheron, fiancée Christy Evancho; Nicole Southcott, significant other Justin Alcala; Ricky Southcott, significant other Alli Hergenrother and 3 great grandchildren, Cadence and Chason Kline and Harper Moucheron. In addition, numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the S.P.C.A. and will be accepted at the visitation.

Religious Service at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. , Mahanoy City, PA, at 11 AM on Thursday, February 27th, with Father Christopher Zelonis officiating.

Interment at St. Casimir Cemetery Mahanoy City, PA.

Alice A. Umbenhauer Aungst
, 69, of Suedberg Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Born on May 1, 1955 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Allen A. "Fat" and Mabel V. Zerbe Umbenhauer.

She was a 1973 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.

Alice worked as a Steward and Bar Manager at the Pine Grove Fish & Game and the H.H. & L. Fire Co. #1.

She was a member of the Mt. Aetna Fire Co., Pine Grove Fish & Game, Pine Grove American Legion Post 374 and the Pine Grove VFW Post 3432. She enjoyed mowing her grass and spending time with her family and friends on her patio-"the concrete slab."

Preceding her in death were a grandson, Zachary T. Anspach and two brothers, Allen Umbenhauer, Jr. and Robert "Yo-Yo" Umbenhauer.

Surviving are a daughter, Stacy Kassab of Jonestown; a grandson, Marcus Kassab; a brother, Eugene "Utch" Umbenhauer and fiance' Donna; a sister, Lorraine Shelters, both of Pine Grove; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Michael McManus Jr., 37, former Ashland resident, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025, at his residence in Kulpmont. Born in Pottsville, April 12, 1987, he is the son of Michael and Kimberly Wise McManus. He was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, Fountain Springs. Michael was a member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church, now St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish, Ashland.

Children: Marley, Nova, Karsen, and Draven McManus
