The Tamaqua Area Lady Raiders secured a hard-fought 41-36 victory over the Williams Valley Lady Vikings in the Schuylkill League Girls High School Basketball Quarterfinals on Saturday, punching their ticket to the semifinals.

Tamaqua, the Division 1 #3 seed, came out strong, dominating the first quarter with an 11-2 lead thanks to their aggressive defense and efficient scoring. However, the Division 2 #2 seeded Lady Vikings battled back in the second quarter, cutting the deficit to just four points at halftime with the Lady Raiders leading 19-15.

In the third quarter, Tamaqua regained control, extending their lead to 34-24 with a balanced offensive attack and key defensive stops.
