All four suspects have been charged for a high-speed chase that began in Dauphin County on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, and ended in Schuylkill County.
According to Trooper Megan Frazer, Public Information Officer for Pennsylvania State Police Troop H, the incident began around 12:40 p.m. on February 23rd, 2025, when a motorist traveling north on I-81 near mile marker 57.1 in Silver Spring Township reported that a red Toyota Tundra was pointing a firearm at other vehicles.
State police quickly located the suspect vehicle near mile marker 78 in West Hanover Township and attempted a traffic stop. Initially, the driver complied but then fled, leading troopers on a pursuit. The vehicle exited the highway and stopped in the area of 7000 Manor Drive, where one of the occupants fired multiple rounds at law enforcement, striking a police vehicle. The suspects then fled again, reentering I-81 north before taking the Frackville exit.
The pursuit continued south on Route 61, culminating in St. Clair, where the suspects' vehicle became disabled. Four individuals fled on foot. Police swiftly apprehended two, while the remaining two initially evaded capture.
One of the first arrested was Kadence Gooch, 18, of Kingsport, TN, identified through paperwork filed in Dauphin County Court. The second suspect, initially reported to be in custody, was not immediately identified or charged.
Pennsylvania State Police later confirmed that the two escapees entered the Walmart in St. Clair through the general merchandise entrance. Surveillance footage showed them discarding clothing and shoplifting new attire to alter their appearance before exiting through the southeast emergency exit.
The fugitives, later identified as Jeremiah Begle, 17, and Christian Guerrero Jr., 17, both of Kingsport, TN, were eventually apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Hartford, Connecticut, on February 27th, 2025.
On Thursday, March 6th, 2025, State Police filed charges against the fourth suspect, Braedon Willis, 17, also of Kingsport, TN.
All four suspects face serious charges, including:
- Criminal Attempt - Criminal Homicide (F1)
- Receiving Stolen Property (F2, multiple counts)
- Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2)
- Simple Assault (M2, multiple counts)
- Firearms Not to Be Carried Without a License (F3, multiple counts)
- Aggravated Assault - Attempts to Cause or Causes Bodily Injury to Designated Individuals (F2)
According to court records, Gooch remains the only suspect currently incarcerated in Dauphin County Prison. The other three have yet to be arraigned.
