A federal office in Schuylkill County has been listed among those that will close after being reviewed by DOGE.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has announced this week via their official website the planned closure of several government offices across Pennsylvania. This initiative is part of DOGE's broader strategy aimed at saving taxpayers a substantial amount of money.
According to DOGE, the anticipated savings from these closures are estimated at a staggering $105 billion, translating to approximately $652.17 in savings per taxpayer.
In Schuylkill County, the Mine Safety Health Administration office in Frackville has been identified for closure. This decision is expected to result in total savings of approximately $55,228, with the annual lease cost for the office being $132,547.
