Frackville Woman Charged for Encouraging Juvenile Fight

A Frackville woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly encouraging a physical altercation between two juveniles at Frackville Memorial Park last month.

On February 24, 2025, at approximately 4:27 p.m., Frackville Police responded to reports of a fight in progress at the park. Upon arrival, officers encountered Jessica Ludwig, 45, of Frackville, along with a juvenile female. Both initially denied involvement in the incident. However, an investigation later confirmed that a physical altercation had taken place between two juvenile females, one of whom was Ludwig’s daughter.

Authorities determined that during the altercation, one juvenile suffered a concussion. Further investigation revealed that Ludwig was present during the fight and was actively encouraging it to continue. At one point, Ludwig allegedly instructed her daughter to choke the other juvenile.

When questioned by police, Ludwig admitted that she was aware the fight was going to occur but failed to report it. As a result of the investigation, Ptlm. Noah Marx filed a criminal complaint against Ludwig, charging her with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Corruption of Minors, and Disorderly Conduct.

Ludwig was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli, who set her bail at $5,000 unsecured.
