A Minersville man has been charged with damaging a vehicle and making threats in St. Clair last month.
According to St. Clair Police, on February 24th, 2025, a victim reported that David Tavares, 38, of Minersville damaged her Cadillac on Chestnut Street by smashing a rock off of it while her and her daughter where inside of it.
The victim stated that she witnessed Tavares kick the vehicle as well. Tavares also made the comment to the victim that "it was supposed to be our head smashed in".
Police said the total damage to the vehicle was valued at $1,147.88.
As a result, on March 18th, 2025, St. Clair Police filed misdemeanor making terroristic threats, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and harassment through Magisterial District Judge David Plachko's office.
