Pottsville Police Announce Parking Restrictions and Road Closures the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade

The annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is set to take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, and the Pottsville Bureau of Police has issued an advisory regarding parking restrictions and road closures.

Parking Restrictions and Road Closures

To facilitate the parade, No Parking signs will be posted along the parade route, including the staging area, starting on Friday, March 14, 2025. On Saturday, March 15, parking restrictions will take effect at 9:00 AM, followed by road closures at 10:45 AM. The parade will commence promptly at 12:00 PM.

Parade Route and Staging Area

The parade will begin at the intersection of 12th and West Market Streets. It will proceed along the following route:

  • Travel east on West Market Street to North 2nd Street
  • Continue to Mahantongo Street
  • Head south on South Centre Street
  • Move onto Laurel Boulevard
  • Conclude at 3rd and Laurel Boulevard

The designated staging area includes:

  • West Market Street from 12th Street to 14th Street
  • Unit block of North 12th Street
  • 100 block of North 12th Street

Roads Affected by the Parade

Motorists should be aware of the following road closures during the event:

  • West Market Street from Centre to 14th Street
  • North 12th Street from West Race Street to West Norwegian Street
  • Centre Street from Howard Avenue to Laurel Boulevard
  • Laurel Boulevard from 4th Street to North Centre Street
