- F2 Weapons of Mass Destruction - Unlawful Possession or Manufacture (two counts)
- F3 Discharge of a Firearm into an Occupied Structure
- M2 Recklessly Endangering Another Person
Kline was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and remanded to Schuylkill County Prison on $150,000 straight cash bail.
According to the affidavit, Pennsylvania State Police from the Frackville barracks responded to 541 Pattersonville Road, Union Township, on March 13 at approximately 10:23 AM after receiving a report of a disturbance. The victim, called 911 and reported that her roommate, Kline, was acting erratically, firing multiple gunshots from the porch and one inside the home. Fearing for her safety, the victim locked herself in a bathroom due to limited mobility caused by health complications.
State police established a perimeter around the residence. Upon arrival, they observed Kline sitting inside a vehicle. He exited the vehicle, ignored verbal commands, and attempted to block officers by moving a tractor into the driveway before eventually complying with orders and surrendering without further incident.
The victim provided further details of Kline’s behavior leading up to the arrest. She reported that Kline had been behaving unusually and had woken her up multiple times the previous night. At one point, Kline allegedly stated, “There’s gonna be some loud bangs here,” before stepping outside and firing eight rounds. He later handed her a pistol, asking her to keep it “safe.” Concerned for his well-being, She hid the firearm, but Kline persistently asked for it back.
Later, Kline allegedly discussed shooting a cat on the porch, either through the window or screen. Shortly after, the victim heard another gunshot inside the house. When questioned, Kline claimed he had been clearing a jammed round.
State troopers discovered a bullet hole in the stairwell near the victim’s couch and seized multiple firearms from the residence. Additionally, the victim informed officers that Kline had mentioned pipe bombs stored in the garage.
Due to these statements, the Pennsylvania State Police Hazardous Device Explosives Section (HIDES) was called to the scene. Investigators recovered two suspected explosive devices from an outbuilding on the property:
- A cardboard tube with a green hobby fuse containing suspected energetic powder.
- A metal canister with a fuse protruding from a valve end containing suspected energetic powder.
Following the discovery of the firearms and explosive materials, authorities charged Kline with multiple felonies. .
Kline remains incarcerated at Schuylkill County Prison pending a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 2nd, 2025 before Judge Tarantelli.
