Regina Dana (Schlegel) Growley known as Jeanie passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville on February 24, 2025.Born in Warren, Ohio on May 9, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Arthur and Regina Catherine (Morgan)Schlegel.
Jeanie graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School in 1961. She attended Cedar Crest College where she met her husband, Donald Growley. They had two daughters, Tia and Kelly. She resided in Livingston, NJ for 41 years before moving in with her daughter’s family in Toms River, NJ and then moving back to Pennsylvania.
While her children were young she became a registered nurse as part of the first graduating class of County College of Morris She received her BSN specializing in Health Education in Montclair State. Over the course of her career she was psychiatric nurse , a nurse educator, a patient advocate, a PEER Review specialist, a nurse administrator and created Quality Assurance programs at several hospitals in New Jersey. Jeanie was known for her many kindnesses especially with her long term psychiatric and geriatric patients.
Jeanie is survived by her daughter Tia Schlosser ( Michael), daughter Kellen Growley of Parsippany, NJ, and grandchildren Dan DeCaro, Taryn Schlosser, Christian Schlosser, Ryan Schlosser and Jaden Schlosser, sister Joyce Nakhjavan of Philadelphia, Pa , and twin sister Teenie Rupert of Port Carbon, Pa.
Funeral Services and interment will be held private. The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pauline M. "Polly" Moore, 97, of Tower City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Heritage Mills Personal Care Home, Tower City.
Born in Reinerton on Monday May 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred Dreisigacker Moyer. She was a graduate of the former Porter Township High School.
Polly was a retired seamstress from the former Bestock Garment Factory.
She was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Reinerton and the Women of the ELCA.
Polly enjoyed taking bus trips and going to the casino. Her family was very important to her and she always looked forward to Sunday family dinners.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Moore, Sr.; a daughter, Sherry Ekeberg; a grandson, Jeffrey Moore.
Surviving are her two sons, Harvey Moore, Jr. and his wife Holly, Tower City and David Moore and his wife Nancy, Rimersburg; a sister, Shirley Bohr, Tower City; 8 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM from St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Reinerton with Pastor Mary Owens officiating. Following the service, a luncheon and time of fellowship will immediately follow in the church social hall. Private burial will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1931 Wiconisco Street, Tower City PA 17980.

Debra A. Egert, 71, of Pine Grove, passed away suddenly, Saturday, March 1, 2025 at her home.
Born in Lykens, Wednesday, December 30, 1953, a daughter of the late Henry Harner and Winifred Hoover Neidig. Deb was a 1972 graduate of Pine Grove High School.
She was last employed as a caregiver for those with special needs.
She enjoyed going to yard sales, collecting antiques, thrifting, and spending time with her cat Buddy.
In addition to her parents Deb was preceded in death by a step daughter Katie Egert.
Surviving are husband, Charles Egert; two daughters, Tenyell Sholly and Kalea Keppley and her husband Michael Jr., both of Bethel; three grandchildren, Nakiya Sholly, Cora and Drake Keppley; a stepdaughter, Jenny Egert, TN; three step grandchildren, Brandon, Jessee, and Grayson Shaver. Deb is also survived by five sisters, Kathy Miller and her fiancée Frank Winsock, Tower City, Cindy Aungst and her husband Dean, Pine Grove, Jean Bender and her husband Donald, Tremont, Michelle Tharp and her fiancée Sean Eisenhauer, Jonestown , and Justine Neidig, Jonestown; nieces and nephews.
Following Deb's wishes there will be no formal services.

Charles “Charlie” H. Hinkle Sr, 76, of Locustdale passed away Friday evening February 28th at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Virginia on February 18, 1949 he was the son of the late Ruth (Hostetter) Kirby and Ramus Hinkle.
He was of the Christian faith.
Charlie was the husband of Mary P. (Kerner) Hinkle.
He most recently worked as a tri-axle driver and welder throughout his career.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 4 wheeling.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; brother George; brother Larry; son in law Jeffrey Bauer.
He is survived by; wife Mary Hinkle, Locustdale; daughter Michele Bauer, Locustdale; son Charles “Chuck” Hinkle Jr., Locustdale; son George Kerner (Stephanie), Locustdale; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nieces & nephews.
Services will be private at the family’s request.

Bruce K Brandt, age 77, of Pitman, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on Tuesday, September 16, 1947, New Jersey, a son of the late Bruce B Brandt and the late Marjorie (Pearce) Brandt.
He was a graduate Wall Twp High School and attended Brookdale College.
He served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War.
Bruce was a commercial fisherman and was later a mechanic at the Lancaster Post Office until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Shelly B (Fletcher) Brandt, to whom he was married for 30 years.
He is also survived by a sister, Cathy Wolcott of Bricktown, NJ.
Services will be held at a later date.
