Sharon E. Davis, 75 of Ashland, formerly of St. Clair, passed away Sunday March 16, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late James Kellagher and Beverly (Vollrath) Moyer.
She was a graduate of St. Clair High School.
Sharon was a member of Christ Independent Church, Lavelle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Donna Botek.
Surviving are her husband Harry Davis; Son David Botek ; step sister Debbie Gauker; Nieces and Nephews.
Per Sharon’s wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship PO Box 486 Minersville, PA 17954.
With great sadness we announce the passing of Kreszenz “Centa” Dunleavy, 93, of Minersville, Pennsylvania on March 17, 2025 at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, PA.
Born April 1, 1931 in Augsburg, Germany she was the daughter of Johan and Krescentia Hargesheimer. She is the widow of the late John J. Dunleavy, Sr.
Centa was a member of Holy Family Parish of Minersville and the St Vincent de Paul Church where she and John were married in 1952.
She was educated in Germany and was awarded U.S.A. citizenship in 1965. Centa worked with her husband helping to manage their multiple business interests including a partnership in the JB Cable TV Company until her passing. She also worked at the former Hill’s Department store in Cressona. After retiring from Hill’s she enjoyed weekly golf and cards games with friends.
She enjoyed family time and always had a variety of comfort foods and treats ready for visiting family, relatives, and friends. Her favorite treats included authentic German food followed up with torte and cookies, in moderation of course.
Deceased family include: John Sr. (2010), children Richard (2001) and John Jr. (1988), five sisters: Ida, Anna, Maria, Betty, and Elizabeth, three brothers, Phillip, Albert, and Adolph. She is survived by a son Edward and his wife Lori, her first American roommate sister-in-law Sister Maryjane Dunleavy SSJ, James Dunleavy, and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Jason F. Stokes at 10:30am Monday March 23 2025 from St. Michael the Archangel Church, Minersville. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment alongside her husband will be Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery Chapel will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please consider remembrances in her memory at the Sisters of St. Joseph, 9701 Germantown Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19118, or the Holy Family Parish of Minersville, 538 Sunbury St. Minersville. Dutcavich Funeral Home, Minersville is entrusted with arrangements.
Deborah C. Post, age 65, of Pottsville, PA , passed away on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 at Edenbrook of Greenwood Hill in Pottsville.
Born in Camden, NJ on September 4, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Horace Muller and Irene (Vars) Reynolds.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 32 years, Joseph C. Post; a son Horace Linn and his wife Melissa; daughter Crystal Linn; five grandchildren: Kamrine Linn, Nicole Linn, Vanessa Linn, Jayden Vernarsky, and Anthony Sukeena; and a great grandson Oskar Linn.
Services and interment will be private.
The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements.
Thomas P. Lombardo, 72, a resident of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21st, 2025, while a guest at the Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.
Tom was born in Philadelphia on April 11, 1952, a son of the late Frank and Margaret (McConville) Lombardo. Upon moving to the Shenandoah area in 1960, he attended the former JW Cooper High School, graduating in 1971. He was employed by the Borough of Shenandoah for over 30 years, retiring as the Borough Foreman. During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening and watching TV, especially the Philadelphia sports teams, of whom he was an avid fan. Tom was of the catholic faith.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Lisa Drumheller (Brian) of Shenandoah; his son, Mark Hysock, with whom he resided in Shenandoah; two sisters, Mary Engle (Joseph) of Girardville and Dolores Stahl (Jeffrey) of Philadelphia along with his twin brother, Joseph Lombardo (Missy) of Lost Creek. 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, nieces, nephews and his cat Salem also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Friday March 28th, 2025 at the Walukiewicz Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Visitation with Tom's family will be from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Private interment services will be held by Tom's family.
