Diane M. Cavanaugh, 72, of Mahanoy City, PA, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, March 25th, after a brave battle with cancer, while under the compassionate care of the Schuylkill Center Nursing Home in Pottsville, PA.
Born in Pottsville on April 29, 1952, Diane was the daughter of the late Manuel J. "Manny" Lopez and his wife Helen (Chicora). She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John J. Cavanaugh, who passed away on March 20, 2024, after nearly 47 years of marriage.
Diane was a proud graduate of Lenape High School in Medford, NJ, class of 1970. She worked at Nelson T. Davis Insurance Agency in Mahanoy City, PA before concluding her career at White Birch Golf Course & Restaurant in Barnesville, PA.
A woman of many talents, Diane had a deep love for arts and crafts, particularly drawing and creating custom wreaths. She cherished time spent with family and friends and was known for her generosity and selflessness. Those who knew Diane appreciated her unwavering kindness and her ability to give of her time to those in need. Her love for animals was also evident, as she devoted herself to caring for cats and dogs.
Diane is survived by her son, Keith Cavanaugh and his wife, Angela, of Winter Garden, FL; her daughter, Danielle Cavanaugh of Mahanoy City; and her grandchildren, Tyler Cavanaugh and his wife, Cheyenne, and Isabella Cavanaugh. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph Lopez and his wife, Mary, of Schuylkill Haven, and Mark Lopez and his wife, Carol, of Schuylkill Haven, along with nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. on Thursday, March 27th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Diane's memory be made to Rush Veterinary Center, 9 Lafayette Ave, Tamaqua, PA 18252.

Eugene Bound, 77, of Auburn, formerly of Port Clinton, passed away on Monday while at St. Luke’s Hospital – Orwigsburg.
Born, July 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mary Truk Bound.
Eugene was a 1965 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. After graduating from high school, Eugene joined the United States Air Force where he served in the Military Police.
Eugene was a member of the Hamburg American Legion.
He loved working on cars and spending time in his garage tinkering.
Eugene was married to the former Bernadette Marx for 53 years.
In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by his brother Marty.
In addition to his wife Bernadette, he is survived by his children, Kimberly Bound of Kulpmont, Eugene II husband to Laura Mengel of Port Clinton, Danielle Wessner wife of Ryan of Auburn. He is also survived by grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Luca Wessner, and Piper Wessner along with brother Robert Bound.
A viewing will be held on Monday, March 31st at 10:00 A.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. George W. Reber, 68, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away on March 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Pottsville to the late Theresa (Caruso) and Milton A. Reber, George was a proud 1975 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and a native of Schuylkill Haven.
George was a dedicated professional throughout his career. He began his journey at Argo Mills Incorporated and demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating Blue Mountain Air Systems for 20 years. He concluded his career at the Pottsville Republican, retiring in February 2025.
He was a devoted husband to his wife of 45 years, Mary Margaret (Tigue) Reber, and a loving father to his three sons, Nathaniel, Matthew, and Michael. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Morgan; nieces, Annie and Theresa; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Reber; and two cherished grandsons, Cayden and Nolan; and many other relatives and dear friends.
A man of deep faith, George’s commitment to God guided his life, shaping his kindness, integrity, and love for others. He found strength and purpose in his faith, which he carried into every aspect of his life, from his family to his work and the friendships he cherished.
George was known for always finding the best in every situation and never missing a reason to laugh. His warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family made him a source of joy and strength to all who knew him. Whether on the basketball court, out fishing, or simply spending time with loved ones, George embraced life with a full heart and a contagious smile.
A viewing for family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, March 31st at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 1st at the funeral home with an additional viewing period at 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at St. Ambrose Cemetery, Cressona.

Douglas P. Dinklocker, 70, of Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at home.
There will be a visitation on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove. Graveside Services and Interment will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Elk Hill Memorial Park, 4704 Pennsylvania Ave., Big Chimney (Charleston), W.V.

Richard Nickel, 70, of Camp Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at home.
Born on January 22, 1955 in Norristown, he was a son of the late William Jr. and Helen Rosenberry Nickel.
He was a 1972 graduate of North Penn High School in Lansdale and a received his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree of Education from Millersville.
Richard was a Graphic Arts Teacher at Pine Grove Area High School for over 30 years.
He was a member of Manbeck's Church.
Surviving are his wife of 5 years, Christine Rumpf Nickel; a stepson, Rory, his wife Nicole and their son Cosmo; a stepdaughter, Royale; a brother Ronald; an Aunt, Joyce Rosenberry and nieces and nephews.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Born in Camden, NJ on September 4, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Horace Muller and Irene (Vars) Reynolds.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 32 years, Joseph C. Post; a son Horace Linn and his wife Melissa; daughter Crystal Linn; five grandchildren: Kamrine Linn, Nicole Linn, Vanessa Linn, Jayden Vernarsky, and Anthony Sukeena; and a great grandson Oskar Linn.
Services and interment will be private.

Mark Steven Boyer, 67, of Minersville PA, died Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at home after a 12 year battle with cancer.
Born in Ashland, July 22, 1957, he was the son of the late Donald R and Mary Lou Boyer.
Mark was a social butterfly and an avid fisherman. He embraced a free-spirited bohemian lifestyle and enjoyed all things wild. His joyful spirit was ever present in his love for, and vast collection of suncatcher’s. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his forever friends and family at Creekside Campground.
Mark is survived by his fiancé Rhoda E Wetzel; a daughter Jessica L Wallace (Byron); two brothers John G. Boyer (Paula) and David R Boyer (Vikki); three sisters Dawn L Boyer, B. Beverly Schmalhofer (Joseph), and Roxanne Brandis (Scott). Extended family include Stephanie Forte (Vince), Kari Wetzel, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be private at the family's request. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mark's memory to Hospice and Community Care at www.hospiceandcommunitycare.org.
