Glenn R. Heisler
, 87, formerly of Cressona, passed away Thursday, March 27th, at Arcadia at Limerick Pointe.

Born in Lewistown Valley, PA on August 8, 1937, he was a son of the late Samuel & Vetta (Cresswell) Heisler.

He was the widower of Esther A. (Lutz) Heisler.

Glenn was a Tamaqua High School graduate.

He was a devoted member of Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church of Reedsville, Schuylkill Haven, where he served as church trustee, and was a caretaker of the cemetery.
Glenn worked with his brother, Wendell, building homes for 12 years, and retired from working as a carpenter with Cressona Aluminum.

A skilled handyman and woodworker, Glenn enjoyed using his talents to help his friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheryle, wife of Linwood Allen Giles, Gilbertsville, two grandsons: Justin A. Giles, husband of Elise, East Norriton, PA & Jared A. Giles, husband of Danice, Drexel Hill, three great-grandchildren: Siah, Colin, & Avery, and two brothers: Wendell Heisler, husband of Beverly, Tamaqua, & Adam Heisler, New Ringgold.

In addition to his parents and wife, Glenn is also preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Heisler.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, April 3rd at Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church of Reedsville with Pastor Mark Brooks officiating. A Viewing will be held at the church from 10 AM until the time of service.

Interment will follow at the Reedsville Cemetery.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Reedsville Cemetery Association, 23 Meadowbrook Dr., Sch. Haven PA 17972.

Juanita M. Radziewicz
, age 78, of Mahanoy City, passed away Thursday morning at Providence Place in Pottsville. 

Born at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Hazleton she was the daughter of the late Norman and Elizabeth (Reese) Mace. She was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City, sang in the church choir and assisted in counting the weekly collection. She was also a member of the Mahanoy City Woman's Club. She worked as a homemaker. 

Preceding her in death were her husband Joseph in 2022 and an infant child. 

She is survived by 2 brothers Thomas of Tamaqua and Gerald and his wife Phyllis of Hometown, 3 nephews Thomas, Eric and David and a niece Karen Buch. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Tuesday morning at 11 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church. 

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. 

Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning beginning at 10 AM. Contributions in her name to the church would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation.

Bradley J. Hoffman
, 50, of Schuylkill Haven passed away at his home unexpectedly on Thursday.

Born in Pottsville, September 5, 1974, he was the son of Harold and Barbara Miller Hoffman.

Brad was a 1992 graduate of Schuylkill Haven Area High School. He played on the 1991 State Championship Football Team.

Brad enjoyed fishing and playing pool with friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his son, Gavin.

Brad last worked for HYDRO Extrusions in Cressona.

Brad is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dallas and Thelma Miller along with his uncle, Harry Miller.

In addition to his parents, Brad is survived by his children, Bradley of Pottsville, Destiny Hoffman of Schuylkill Haven and Gavin Hoffman of Schuylkill Haven. He is also survived by his sister Brandy Fredericks, wife of Mike of Pottsville along with Gavin’s mother and friend, Sarah Schaeffer wife of Todd of Schuylkill Haven.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd at 4:00 P.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.grabowskifuneralhomes.com

Edward J. Dutton
, 77, of Riva, MD, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025 in Annapolis, MD.

Ed, affectionately called Papa by his family, was born in New York on January 15, 1947, to the late Edward Dutton and Alice Appleby. He was raised in Pottsville, by his aunt and uncle, Russell and Elizabeth Zimmerman. Not long before his death, he celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife, Bernadette (Koury) Dutton.

He was a 1965 Graduate of Nativity BVM High School, where he played basketball. He was a proud graduate of Penn State University, Class of 1969 and obtained his masters degree in education from East Tennessee State University in 1972.

After briefly teaching English and coaching basketball at Nativity BVM High School, he spent most of his professional career (over 30 years) with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, where he specialized in helping inner city PA schools secure funding for math and science.

In 2010, the Duttons moved to Annapolis, MD, to be closer to their family. Ed, a lifelong coach and educator, spent the past 15 years working as a substitute teacher in the Annapolis area.

He spent most of his time at Broadneck High School, where his son-in-law, John Williams, has
been a longtime coach and teacher, and at South River High School, where his granddaughter is a fresh-
man this year.

He enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports, and his granddaughter dance. There was nothing he
loved more than the company of his family, especially on a college football Saturday watching games with a cold bottle of Coke.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette; his sister, Jessie Gilger, wife of Michael Gilger of Punta Gorda
FL; son, John, husband of Heather Dutton, of Annapolis, MD; daughter, Jessie Williams, wife of John
Williams of Annapolis, MD; his grandchildren, John Edward Dutton Jr., Benjamin David Dutton, William Andrew Dutton, Noelia Lin Williams, and J. Christian Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Diana Giles.

Religious funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5th at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral
Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville, followed by a burial at Charles Baber Cemetery. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made in Ed's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Memorial Fund.

Peter J. Klem
, a resident of South Amboy, New Jersey, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025.

Peter was born in Gilberton on June 19, 1935, a son of the later Peter and Helen (Pratcavage) Klem. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving as a military policeman. After his discharge in 1957, Peter began working for General Motors in Linden, NJ and then later working and retiring from Hyatt Roller Bearing in Central New Jersey.

In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Millie (Kosmisky) Klem in 2024, and by a sister, Irene Bernathy and a brother, James Klem.

He is survived by his brother, Raymond Klem of Mohnton, and two sisters in law, Ruth Murphy of New Jersey and Theresa Horas of Frackville, along with nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 49 North Line St, Frackville, at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church at 10:45 prior to the mass.

Peter will be laid to rest alongside his wife Millie at the Annunciation Cemetery in Frackville, following Military Honors.

The Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, is assisting Peter's family during their time of need.

Carol T. Andruchek, 75, of West West Terrace, passed away Wednesday at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Genevieve Gober Ferenchick.

She was a 1967 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville and retired from the York Terrace Nursing Home where she was the Activities Director. She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Minersville and a member of St. Matthew’s Church of Holy Family Parish, Minersville.

She is survived by her husband John and their 3 sons, John Peter and his wife Jennifer, Minersville, Eric and his wife Jennifer, Pottsville and Christian and his wife Rochelle, Minersville; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild..

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon from the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. Rev. Leo J. Maletz will officiate. Relatives and friends can call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus #2 Cemetery. Catherine A. Zagalak, 82, formerly of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday at the Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Buck Run, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Maliniak Zagalak.

She was a graduate of the former Cass Twp. High School and a graduate of the Coatesville Hospital School of Nursing and the Pottsville Hospital School of Anesthesia. She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Minersville.

In addition to he parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Stanley Zagalak.

She is survived by her nephew Stanley Zagalak and his wife Deborah, Burke, Va.; who was her caregiver; a brother William; other nieces and nephews.

Private Funeral services and interment in St. Stanislaus #2 Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, Minersville.
