Several homes were damaged by fire early Thursday morning in Mahanoy City.
The dispatch came in around 12:30am for a report of a possible house fire at 702 East Mahanoy Street.
The first chief to arrive advised of a working fire. A 2nd alarm would be requested for additional manpower.
The fire damaged at least 3 homes at 702, 704, and 706, and with the homes at 708 and 710 also sustaining minor damage.
The fire would be marked under control around 1:20am.
As of this posting, there was no word on a cause or how many people were displaced by the fire.
A State Police Fire Marshal was requested to the scene.
