Shenandoah Woman Loses Control on Route 924, Crashes Down Embankment near Gilberton

A motor vehicle accident occurred on Monday evening on Route 924 southbound near Gilberton, resulting in minor injuries, according to Frackville Police.

At approximately 7:18 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene where a Honda CRV had veered off the roadway near the bridge. 

Police determined that Nova Estefania Manzano, 35, of Shenandoah, lost control of her vehicle, striking a guardrail before traveling down an embankment. The vehicle sustained heavy disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Authorities also discovered that Manzano did not possess a valid driver’s license. As a result, she will be cited by Patrolman Dan Bound for operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

Emergency services, including the Gilberton Fire Department, Mahanoy City Fire Department, Shenandoah EMS, and Steve’s Towing, assisted at the scene.
