Tamaqua Area High School Celebrates Student-Athlete Signings

The Tamaqua Area School District Athletic Department recently held press conferences to honor student-athletes who will continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. 

The event recognized five dedicated athletes who have committed to playing sports at various institutions.

Addison Krall - Softball - Penn State Abington

Addison Krall has committed to playing softball at Penn State Abington. During the press conference, Addison was joined by her proud parents, Damon and Amy Krall. Also present were Athletic Director Mike Hromyak, Head Softball Coach Tony Zancofsky, and Principal Thomas McCabe, who all expressed their support for Addison’s future endeavors.

Kimmy Rudy - Soccer - Misericordia University

Kimmy Rudy will continue her soccer career at Misericordia University. At the signing event, Kimmy was accompanied by her parents, Francis and Kristine Rudy. Principal Thomas McCabe, Head Girls Soccer Coach Clem McCarroll, and Athletic Director Mike Hromyak were also present to celebrate Kimmy's achievement.

Anthony Marchetti - Cross Country and Track - Lock Haven University

Anthony Marchetti has committed to competing in both cross country and track at Lock Haven University. His parents, Gary and Debra Marchetti, were by his side during the press conference. Supporting Anthony's journey were Athletic Director Mike Hromyak, Head Cross Country Coach Megan Frantz, Head Track and Field Coach Jim McCabe, and Principal Thomas McCabe.

Megan Linkhorst - Softball - Marywood University

Megan Linkhorst will continue her softball career at Marywood University. Megan's parents, Robert and Denise Linkhorst, were present to celebrate her commitment. Joining them in recognition were Athletic Director Mike Hromyak, Head Softball Coach Tony Zancofsky, and Principal Thomas McCabe.

Luke Kane - Baseball - Bloomsburg University

Luke Kane will advance his baseball career at Bloomsburg University. Luke's parents, Jamie and Danelle Kane, proudly attended the event. Celebrating Luke's success with them were Athletic Director Mike Hromyak, Head Baseball Coach Jeff Reading, and Principal Thomas McCabe.
