Big Diamond Speedway's second scheduled race night of the season has fallen victim to persistent rain and damp conditions. Despite hopes earlier in the week that the weather would hold, Mother Nature had other plans, forcing officials to postpone Friday night’s highly anticipated racing event.
Originally set for April 11, the Fritz Roehrig Memorial Money in the Mountains/Dukmen Enterprises Night has now been rescheduled for Friday, April 18. The event features the Quandel Concrete 358 Modifieds, with a $10,000 winner’s purse up for grabs—an incentive expected to draw another strong field of competitors, similar to the stellar turnout on Opening Night.
Also on the April 18 card is the Full Fender Frenzy, a $1,000-to-win feature combining Big Diamond Speedway Roadrunners with comparable full-bodied cars from Selinsgrove Speedway and BAPS Motor Speedway, promising plenty of fender-banging action.
The USS Achey Inc. 602 Crate Sportsman division, which was rained out during its April 4 feature, will be back in action—though their postponed Thaw Brawl event has now been officially rescheduled for May 23. Joining the action next Friday will also be the Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman.
