No Injuries Reported in Rollover Crash in Ashland

Emergency crews responded to a rollover crash in Ashland on Saturday afternoon that resulted in no injuries.

The incident occurred just after 2:00 p.m. in the 1500 block of West Centre Street. Initial reports indicated a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment, prompting a response from Ashland Police and Fire Departments.

Before first responders arrived, the driver of the vehicle managed to escape from the overturned SUV without assistance. A young child was also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

According to early accounts, the Jeep was traveling uphill on Centre Street when it struck a parked car. The impact caused the Jeep to flip onto its driver’s side, sliding along the street and striking two additional parked vehicles before coming to a rest against another car.

Washington Ambulance personnel evaluated both the female driver and the child at the scene. Neither required hospitalization and both were released shortly after.

The Washington Fire Company Rescue handled stabilization of the vehicle while the American Hose Company provided traffic control.  Area Services Ambulance and Aristes also responded but was not needed.

Authorities have not released additional details about the cause of the crash.
