Schuylkill County Man Accused of Threatening Delivery Driver with Knife, Shouting Racial Slurs in Tremont Township

Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven responded to Molleystown Road on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, for a report of an assault.

According to police, the victim, a delivery driver, mistakenly arrived at the wrong address while attempting to deliver a package. After realizing the mistake, she turned her vehicle around and began backing down the driveway.

At that moment, Kevin Zimmerman, 58, of Pine Grove, was driving up the driveway in a tractor-trailer. Zimmerman allegedly accelerated toward the victim's vehicle before exiting his truck armed with a knife.

Police say Zimmerman threatened to kill the victim while shouting racial slurs. He then reached through the vehicle’s window, grabbed the victim’s face, and pushed her head backward. The victim managed to escape and call police.

Troopers took Zimmerman into custody, on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment, ethnic intimidation, recklessly endangering another person and unlawful restraint, and he was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Dave Plachko in Port Carbon. He was committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $75,000 straight cash bail.

Zimmerman posted bail the following day through a professional bondsman. He is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi for a preliminary hearing on April 17, 2025.
