Andrea Rockwell
, 65, of Gilberton, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 2nd, at home.

Andrea was born in Shenandoah, PA on December 23, 1959, a daughter of the late Louise (Chonski) and Joseph Kutsko.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church Gilberton.

Attended local schools.

She had worked in factories as a sewing machine operator, and worked as a cook in local restaurants.

She loved to read, Nora Roberts and James Patterson books, Sew, and spent time with her family.

She was proud of her children and grandchildren.

Andrea is survived by a daughter, Heather, longtime companion of Brian Beury Klinger, of Mt. Carmel; three sons David Rockwell Jr., of Girardville; Kyle Rockwell, of Gilberton; Richard Harding Jr., of Gilberton; two sisters, Carol Shaulp, of Delano; MaryLou Schwalm, of Mahanoy City.

Seven Grandchildren Cassidy, Cheyenne, Wyatt, Austin, Onya, Addison, and Alyzza also survive her. Nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A brother Joe, and Sister Gloria Fonslick, a niece Stacey Fonslick, precede her in death.

She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Stella, Benson, and Kali for whom she adored. In addition, if dogs go to heaven she joins Angel our miniature Dachshund.

Interment private at convenience of the Family.

June L. Loch
, 99 years of age formerly of Andreas Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at National Healthcare in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina where she resided.

Born Wednesday, April 8, 1925 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Adam and Gertrude (Huber) Greenzweig. June was also predeceased by; beloved husband, Floyd W. Loch; son, Maynard F. Loch; sisters, Helen M. Greenzweig, Jean L. Snyder, Verna M. Carr, Anna M. Fink, LaRue G. Rehrig; brothers, Robert C., Clarence S., Roy A., and Alvin D Greenzweig.

Surviving are daughter, Myrna J. Walp and her husband Perry of Garden City, SC; grandchildren, Eric Loch and his wife Jessica, Kevin Loch and his wife Andrea, and Mitchell Walp; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. Many nieces and nephews also survive June. Her loving family included, daughter in law Linda Gower and her husband Lowell.

A 1944 graduate of Lehighton High School, June was a longtime member of Ben Salem U.C.C. of Lehighton. June worked as a Domestic in the Lehighton area, enjoyed quilting, and especially liked talking to friends and neighbors.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday April 11, 2025 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Ben Salem U.C.C. 1965 Church Hill Road Lehighton, Pennsylvania 18235.

Interment will be in Ben Salem Church Cemetery Lehighton Pennsylvania.

Memorial in her name to Ben Salem U.C.C. Church.

Jo Ann Shade, age 89, of Valley View, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, Tremont. She was born on Saturday, October 12, 1935, in Pottsville, PA, a daughter of Francis E Boos and Dorothy Weyman Boos.

She was a 1953 graduate of the former Mahanoy Joint High School. She was a Seamstress for area garment factories and was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.

She was preceded in death by her father, Francis E Boos, mother, Dorothy Boos, husband, Glenwood L Shade, brother, Ottto Boos, sister, Barbara Spotts, nephew, Curtiss Boos, daughter, Anotoinette Shade.

She is survived by three daughters, Lori A (John) Klinger of Hegins, PA, Kathy J (Jeffrey) Reitz of Myrtle Beach, SC, Patricia L (Brendan) Stehr of Sacramento; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at a later date. Burial will be made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View PA 17983.

Memorial contributions can be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Charles P. Joyce
, 80, of Lenape Court, Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Providence Place, Pine Grove.

Born on December 31, 1944, in Centralia, he was a son of Charles and Mary (Potochney) Joyce. He always joked about how the world celebrated his birthday.

Charles was a 1962 graduate of Mt. Carmel Catholic High School.

He was an Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

Charles worked as a Computer Programmer for the Department of the Army at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C for 30 years, retiring on December 31, 1999. Self-taught, he excelled during the era of large mainframes, punch cards and Cobol programming. During the 70s and 80s, he enjoyed educating family and friends about the early days of computers. Raising their family near Washington, D.C., Charles and his beloved wife, Anne, enjoyed hosting family and friends with tours of the D.C attractions.

After retirement, Charles and Anne moved to be close to family and friends from their hometown, Centralia, living in Pine Grove, PA.

He was a member of the American Legion in Centralia, the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree of Mount Carmel, PA, Senior Corps/Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Schuylkill County, and a volunteer at the Pottsville Public Library. Additionally, Charles was the family historian and genealogist, meticulously archiving photos, newspaper clippings, mementos, and recording family ancestry.

Preceding him in death was the eternal love of his life, his wife of 56 years, Anne M. Coddington Joyce; a brother (Raymond) and three sisters (Mary, Rosella and Patricia).

Surviving are a son, Charles Jr. and wife Allison Joyce of Baltimore, MD; a daughter, Jennifer Joyce and companion Ron Griffin of Alexandria, VA; three grandchildren (Virginia, Maxwell, and Kai); nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Noon at the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, 113 Cherry St., Tremont with Father George Kochuparambil officiating. There will be a visitation on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until Noon at church. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions be made to either the Most Blessed Trinity Parish 113 Cherry St., Tremont, PA 17981 or the National Kidney Foundation.

Richard E. Dodson
, 95, of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully on April 4th at Shenandoah Manor.

Born in Jonestown, PA, he was a son of the late Gordon and Helen (Whitenight) Dodson.

Richard graduated from Milton Hershey High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University. He served in the US Army during Korea War. Richard was an accountant for Deluxe Homes, Berwick.

As an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Shenandoah, he served as the Treasurer and served on the Consistory.

Richard was an avid runner, he ran every day for over 30 years, never missing. He ran in 19 Marathons and always enjoyed running in the Shenandoah Coal Cracker and Berwick Run for Diamonds. He enjoyed spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Billy Bright, and brother, Robert Dodson.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 36 years, Mary Lou (Yescalis) Dodson, children, Edward Dodson, Debra McGinn, Linda Capiga and her husband, Clem, Tracy Nahas and her husband, Joseph, grandchildren, Benjamin, Emily, Chad, Brianne, Kristy, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Joseph and Jakob, four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two brothers, Charles Dodson and Paul Dodson, several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 11th at 11:00 AM at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin Street, Shenandoah, with Reverend Ray Reigel, of Trinity United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment with Military Honors in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM till the time of the service.
