Elaine V. Goho
, wife, mother, sister, nana, 73 years of age of West Penn Township Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 5, 2025, while in the care of her family.

Born Monday, November 5, 1951 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late LeRoy and Winifred (Heffelfinger) Musselman. Elaine was also predeceased by an infant brother.

Surviving are; her husband of 57 years, John Joseph Goho Jr.; daughters, Maria E. Hoppes and her husband Jeffrey, Angela L. Goho; sons, John J. Goho and his wife Jessica, Ronald L. Goho, Donald W. Goho and his wife Deanna; brother, LeRoy Musselman and his wife Judi; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

Elaine worked for Leiby's restaurant baking pies for many years. Elaine cherished time spent with her children, doting on her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Elaine enjoyed the companionship of her dog Cody.

Mary E. Underkoffler
, 96, a lifelong resident of Williamstown, passed away Saturday evening, April 5, 2025 at her home.

Mary was born in Williamstown on Thursday, February 14, 1929, a daughter of the late John and Mary Poloncsak Osag.

She was a floor supervisor with the former Bobbie Rogers Garment Factory in Tower City and Wiconisco.

She was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and a current member of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Lykens.

Mary will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Her family meant the world to her. She also took great pride in the appearance of her home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earl, 1992; two brothers, Vincent and John Osag.

Surviving are her two children, Dawn Drum and her husband Ken, and David Underkoffler, all of Williamstown; three grandchildren, Heather Mahoney, Courtney Shoop, and Rory Drum; great grandchildren, Emily and Miley Mahoney, Owen and Carter Shoop, and Camden, Makiyah, and Kendryck Drum; a sister, Margaret Turns, Hershey; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM from Our Lady Help of Christian Parish with Rev. Michael Opaki, AJ as celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:00 AM. Mary will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's name can be made to the Williamstown EMS, PO Box 74, Williamstown, PA 17098.

Sylvia A. Houseman, 88, of Tamaqua passed away Saturday April 5th at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem.

Born on March 29, 1937 in Palmerton she was the daughter of the late Gertrude (Young) and James Rehrig, Sr.

Sylvia was of the Protestant faith.

She was the wife of the late William E. Houseman who passed away in 2008.

Sylvia last worked for several garment factories in the Panther Valley over the years including KJ’s and Kiddie Clothes.

She was a member of the former YMCA in Tamaqua. She enjoyed playing bingo and being involved with the Tamaqua Seniors.

In addition to her spouse, she was preceded in death by; sister Joanne Rehrig; brother James Jr “Tom”; brother Robert; brother William.

Sylvia is survived by; son James “Jimmy” Houseman, Tamaqua; son Edwin Houseman, Tamaqua; daughter Joanne Roos (Jessie), New Ringgold; 2 grandchildren Edwin Jr. & Jessie Jr.

Services will be private at the family’s request.

Theresa J. Mock, 74, of Ashland passed away Sunday April 5th at Geisinger Medical Center-Danville.

Evelyn L. Moore, 91, of Branchdale, passed away Friday, April 4th, at Providence Place Senior Living of Pottsville.

Evelyn was born in Llewellyn, Pa. on June 19, 1933, a daughter of the late Anna (Petrick) and Steven Anderko She was the widow of James J. Moore Sr.

She was a member of the former St. Mary Star of the Sea church of Branchdale and currently of Saint Matthew the Evangelist Church of the Holy Family Parish, Minersville.

She was a former Seamstress in the local garment industry and an Assistant Preschool Teacher. She was active with both the local Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and was an active member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Branchdale.

In addition to her parents, and her husband, James, she was preceded in death by a son, David, and a brother, James Anderko. Evelyn is survived by a son, James J. Jr, husband of Kathy Phee, a daughter, Ann, wife of Tom Barr. Evelyn is also survived by a sister, Mary Warner, as well as her grandchildren, Katherine, Erin, and Megan Moore, and Tyler Rolek.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 8, with calling hours from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville. A Catholic Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Leo Maletz officiating. Interment at St. Mary Star of Sea.
