The City of Pottsville has issued a travel and parking advisory in preparation for the annual Yuengling Light Lager Jogger 5K, scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Residents and visitors are urged to be aware of temporary parking restrictions and road closures that will be in effect throughout the event.
Parking Restrictions:
Beginning Friday, April 25 at 7:00 AM, there will be NO PARKING permitted in the vendor staging areas on the following streets:

Mahantongo Street between 3rd and 7th Streets

5th Street between Mahantongo Street and Norwegian Street
These restrictions will remain in effect through the conclusion of post-race activities on Saturday, April 26.
Additionally, on Saturday, April 26 from 6:00 AM to approximately 12:00 PM, NO PARKING will be allowed along the entire race route. Streets along the course will be closed to all vehicular traffic during this time for the safety of participants and spectators.

- West on Mahantongo Street from 7th to 19th Street
- North on 19th Street from Mahantongo to Norwegian Street
- West on Norwegian Street from 19th to 22nd Street
- South on 22nd Street from Norwegian to Mahantongo Street
- East on Mahantongo Street from 22nd to 20th Street
- South on 20th Street from Mahantongo Street to Howard Avenue
- East on Howard Avenue from 20th to 12th Street
- North on 12th Street from Howard Avenue to Mahantongo Street
- East on Mahantongo Street from 10th Street to the finish line
Important Notice: The city emphasizes that NO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC will be allowed on the race course while participants are using the route. Local residents who anticipate significant disruptions or have specific concerns are encouraged to contact city officials in advance by calling 570-622-1234, ext. 1350.
