Wanted Ashland Man Taken into Custody in West Hazleton

A routine patrol led to the arrest of a wanted man from Ashland in Luzerne County on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

According to West Hazleton Police, an officer on patrol encountered 39-year-old Adam Powell of Ashland. Upon identifying Powell, the officer confirmed that he had an active arrest warrant issued by the Pennsylvania State Police.

Powell was taken into custody without incident and later transferred to the custody of the Pennsylvania State Police.

Powell was wanted by State Police for simple assault and harassment for an incident in Ashland Borough on March 28th, 2025.

Powell was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge James Reiley and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post 10% of $15,000 bail.
